Congrats Jade Quarry for 3 straight years as top 3 (tier 1)ranked NA server.

I’d like to thank my fellow JQers for making JQ longtime successful server.

I’m not going to go and thank specific commanders who helped along the way. There’s been so many that have come and gone, or are still around, to name only a few of them would be hard.

Good luck in the future JQ, and thank you.

Just to be clear, JQ, as have other top servers, have been randomly dropped into match-ups with lower ranked teams from time to time. My statistics is based on the fact Jade Quarry never dropped below 3rd on Anet’s ranking system.

I’m sourcing Millenium’s statistics. I’ve also been active and part of JQ since beta, I’m equally sure they’re accurate.

Congrats on not transferring to lower server to make the whole of WvW matchups more even, fair, fun and enjoyable for all; and instead try to recruit more to an already full server!

I desperately wanted to stick with my original BWE1 server of choice for the long the haul (World Pride represent!) and always spoke out against my beloved JQ’s incessant recruiting campaigns as being determintal to the game overall so after three years I decided go live by my principals on Ehmry Bay instead. So far its been a lot of fun actually having an impact on fights again.

I do miss a lot of the very cool people from JQ and congratulate them on their determination to stay on top through a lot of rough times. Some people just prefer to play the game with a metric ton of friends and accomplices. To each their own. JQ did build a very pleasant community to be a part of and hopefully did not too terribly impact others with their assimilation process. /salute JQ

3 years with the last 1+ some form of match fixing to keep the same 3 servers in t1….. :slow clap for you……..

Not sure why this is considered an accomplishment at all and needs to be bragged about.

I was looking at those stats recently myself. It is an amazing feat even if you’re of the hating crowd. It’s not easy to be at the top of any rankings for so long in any game. Congrats to Jade Quarry!

Successful groups are always going to be villainized for their success. Tier 1 has always been hated. Top sports teams are always being hated on. People hate on rich people and assume they stole the money somehow. Some people are just jealous. Some people hear anecdotes and just repeat them with no knowledge of what they speak of.

I’ve been on Jade Quarry since launch and although I’ve never been super active in WvW, I’ve always found it to be a great home server whether it be PvE (before mega-servers) or WvW. There’s a lot of good people and a lot of people that I’ve seen around since day 1. Not everyone is a bandwagoner. The vast majority of Jade Quarry players are just like any server. They log into WvW and just compete and try to have fun.

Was on Jq with an alt for awhile and it was fine – no hate. But the cross server guilds that played on multiple servers and the Jq-TC-bg cooperation locked the tier – so not much of an accomplishment for staying in the top tier when it was actively locked……

I’d say it will be much more of an accomplishment if JQ is still top 3 next year. With the new system of not being able to buy guilds, it makes it tough to replenish as people leave.

Example: Look at TC. They likely won’t be back to top 3 permanently. Why? As soon as they played a week in T2, a lot of their bandwagon guilds jumped to other T2 servers. No way to get new guilds with the full status.

Well TC had a good run in T1 but it appears they have now gone back to their roots in T2 (remember… TC really only got “promoted” due to the implosion of SoR).

NA wvw is as dead as EU wvw among lowest tiers not hard to stay on top..
capping a keep on borderland with zero deffence happends on T1 servers in NA.
