TCer here currently against Kai. This server has a number of talented guilds that’s responsible for keeping T2 to be one of the most competitive match up in this tier.
Now is a great time for any pveers, soloist, or anyone who wants to try WvW but are nervous to come make a difference for this server!
Kaineng is an excellent destination for players of all skill levels and all timezones. TC player here who has faced Kaineng for months now and I have nothing but the utmost respect for the server.
They have some of the best ‘complete’ guilds in the game in the form of RISE and WM and I believe they help tremendously in teaching/helping out new players and other guilds on their server.
Kaineng could use some more NA guilds to keep T2 as competitive as it is for a long time to come. Trust me when I say this that T2 is the place to be for the best WvWvW in the game.
While I’d much rather try to convince people to come to TC, I can’t deny that KN is a fantastic group of people. They’re classy and have great sportsmanship. If I wasn’t on TC, I’d probably be on KN.
In other words: transfer to TC. If you won’t transfer to TC…transfer to KN. xD
Fellow TCer here and just want to say that T2 has been great and KN is a big reason for that. They have great guilds and are well respected by all of TC for great sportsmanship in the battlefield and on forums. If you are looking to help someone in NA then KN should be the choice.
KN is a great foe. I’ve been loving the competitive fights in WvW being matched up against them. If you want a great home for the enjoyment of WvW I strongly urge you to check KN out!

I’m on Kain and have been loving it, and T2. Lots of great battles, and every server fights hard every week. I’ve been quite pleased with most of the commanders (when I run with a zerg) and have been really impressed with how well we’ve done even when facing much larger numbers. The teamwork between players in voice comm has been really nice, and fun, too.
Having played against Kaineng for the last few weeks and before, I can tell you they are a class act. They are one of the few servers that could really benefit with just a single NA guild and the NA they have is pretty hardened and really good at defending. If you want to jump straight into the most even tier in the game, you can’t go wrong with KA.
Whoa, you guys are awesome, see ^^^ and I did that to the TC thread 2 weeks ago. Now you guys come back in force. Much appreciated folks. T2 is hands down the most enjoyable tier. And Kain has plenty of fun, and always happy to have more WvW.
fyi .. we do not have queues (well a map might have one for about 5 mins at times) …. there I said it, flame me if you must. Secrets revealed.

Kain has been nothing but class acts and ferocious opponents for the last few weeks! And they make me want to pull out my hair they are so good at countering TC at times. If you need somewhere to go with great wvwvw, try KN – they are fantastic

I adore these folks. They have been incredible to fight in WvW and it’s been fun actually making some new friends in game. They are hardcore WvW, with a pinch of silly (they have a great sense of humour, you should hear their karoake! haha!).
Tier 2 is currently one of the better tiers in the entire game. We are all highly competitive, and our matches are often within 30K from first to third spot. If you are tired of the nonstop toxicity of tier1, or you want to become more invested in WvW and learn from the best, please consider Kaineng. If they get a few more in their NA timezone, then Tier 2 will continue to remain competitive fun for all servers involved.
You really can’t go wrong giving them a try. Transfer today!
KN is a great opponent to fight in tier 2, and from what I have read, they have zero or the occasional minimal queue during North American play hours as opposed to the other 2 servers in their bracket.
Tier 1 is giant zergballs and long queues so you don’t want to go there.
I’m on TC, but if I wasn’t a roleplayer and wanted to play in one of the top 2 tiers during NA playtime, I would go to KN without hesitation (who likes queues?).

let’s just say we at Kaineng just love to have fun. we wipe and get wiped. we farm and and get farmed. we don’t pay much attention to forum drama. no chest-thumping when we win, and no whining when we lose.
As a TC’er who has faced KN in T2 for months now, this is absolutely true (although they tend to do the wiping and farming more often than not).
KN is an amazing WvW server community, consisting of a successful melding of Kaineng’s original casual population with a later influx of hardcore WvW guilds. Those guilds and militia have worked together to create one of the more solid communities in the game right now.
Whether guild or militia, they all work together, fight their kitten off, they’re both skilled and hard working, they’re good at both pvp and the WvW metas, they don’t whine, complain or chest thump, or do forum drama, and they don’t cheat.
It would be great for all of us in T2 for KN to get a few more WvW’ers and/or guilds, to keep the tier as balanced and consistently an exciting tossup every week. You can’t go wrong on KN.
As a player from Tarnished Coast I believe that Kaineng is a great opponent and a great friend-like server to us. They rose up from the bottom receiving hate from the lower tiers, and I’m sure that the rise to T2 was strenuous on them. But it seems that it was all well worth it, because now they are a core part of T2 bringing awesome fights, awesome people, awesome guilds, and with a personality that helped shape T2 into what it is now. Kaineng is a splendid server and needs NA guilds/people to help them out.
NA people/guilds, go to Kaineng and join one of the more friendly and intense tiers in the NA Ladder for WvW. You won’t regret it, and we TC won’t regret having transfers go to them, because they deserve it. Help Tier 2’s evolution by helping balance the power to be evened out to everyone’s wants!
Thanks TC for the help but i just don’t think we will get any big WvW guild unless we pay them..but we can get trying.
Don’t limit yourselves to the big ones, go after the small ones and individual players as well. Get enough of them together, get them coordinated, and teach them the game’s force multipliers, and they can become very effective force even when undermanned. (We’ve been learning this hard way against War Machine recently, and previously BG).
KN is one of those servers that TC has been consistently facing in T2, for almost 2 months now and they’re definitely a class act and has earnt loads of respect from TC. Lots of great WvW guilds that don’t mind having fun when they have to. TC has learnt quite a lot in terms of strategy from them. I’m sure they could use some NA guilds to balance out T2, the most awesome tier to be in.
we would happily absorb any player who would like to transfer to Kaineng into our guilds. Meow has got the guild upgrades ready if you worried/care about PvE and stuff. i’m sure other guilds in Kaineng do too. so individual players do not need to worry about forming new guild whatsoever. we have selections of great guilds here.

Another vote of support for Kaineng. If you think RP makes for a better game and love WvW, TC is a better choice, but Kain has a solid WvW community that knows how to have fun, respects its opponents on and off the field and plays to win every week. Plus you’ll get to compete in the most competitive NA Tier that’s both friendly to new players and lets experts excel (on all 3 servers).

I play on FA and it’s been some great match ups with TC and KN these last few weeks. If you’re NA prime time and would like some great fights then I would recommend transferring to KN. They could use some help during that time. If you’re SEA or Oceanic I’d recommend TC or you could come join us on FA, we wouldn’t mind. Both of us could use some help at that time to make some good fights for the KN guilds on at that time. This tier has great action with epic fights that always make for fun nights where you win or lose the battle.
We would like to ask you to refrain from bumping the thread just for the sake of bumping. If you have any important thing to add or any accomplishment to share, feel free to add it but don’t bump the thread.
I would just like to add in here a thank you from [RE] to all you guys from TC that make WvW enjoyable and keep it entertaining. What you all are saying is definitely true in the sense that Tier 2 is the most competitive tier there is, because every week is different and it makes the game that much more enjoyable. We could of course use some more people for NA primetime hours seeing as our oceanic hours are pretty well covered but the queue times are not bad at all except on reset night, so for anybody who is interested in coming to KN just take a look at the wonderful posts above me and make a decision. If you happen to go to TC then more power to you and I look forward to seeing you on the field, but if you come to KN then feel free to shoot me a message and come see what our WvW is like and what everybody in this thread is talking about! I’ve played on Kaineng since it’s very beginning. We have a very active WvW community.
We’ve recently dropped to third in our current tier. It won’t stop us from coming out full force on reset. But there are the areas in Mayo’s post that we are definitely lacking in and need support if we want to remain competitive in our current tier. Honestly speaking, T2 has been the best tier Kaineng has played in, even better than our T8 days.

Another TC player here. KN is one of my favorite servers. Not only do they have great players, they are the most honorable opponents we have ever faced. They know the game is about fun first. I encourage anyone who is interested in moving to consider KN as their home.
I gotta say, in all honesty, this tier is very unlike the numbers game matchups. Yes we are outmanned but the open battles here are much more advanced than most I’ve seen, and I been everywhere from T8 to t2.

I’m a native of Kaineng since I began playing and I find our community great! I was a strictly PvE player when I began GW2, but our community has so many great guilds and individuals that support and strive diligently in WvW that I was eager to try it. I am so grateful to them for giving me their time to show me the ropes, since I am a converted WvW’r now.
One of the things about Kaineng I find so engaging, is the players themselves and their willingness to give their time and knowledge to help out other players. Our guilds and especially the larger WvW hardcore ones don’t have that “elite uberness” attitude I have seen in other MMO’s. Anytime I have ever reached out to any of them for assistance or information, it’s always graciously given and then some.
So, if you or your guild is looking for a well coordinated WvW focused server to join forces with, then please reach out and talk with any of our folks. We’d love to have you join our roster of great guilds and players!
Come to Kaineng, where Cmmdrs Jarvan, Mayoken, Chips, Ethersin, Sista, Jang, and others give TC a run for their money or die trying. Every time I run with these guys, I seem to always get many loot bags.

Right now Kaineng is the smallest server in Tier 2, and even then we often overachieve with the manpower we got. That’s why we were 1st for weeks in T2. However recently both FA and TC has gotten a lot more manpower. The population differences nowadays is often 3 to 1, making it very difficult for a fair fight. Even then we are still fighting hard and we are current a respectable 3rd place. We often wipe zergs much bigger than ours.
Respectable 3rd place is much better than a blow out. :P
So yes please consider coming to Kaineng. With some additional manpower we can make a serious splash in T2.
Another TC player here. and indeed, please consider transferring your guilds to Kaineg, we would hate to see their server dwindle and fade away as others have. The T2 tier between KN/FA/TC has been pretty fun and balanced up until now, but the last 2 weeks KN has barely had a presence. KN has worked hard to get from T8 to T2, and if you are considering a new server, and want to move to a T2 server, consider KN!
If you’re an NA or Euro guild and looking to make a difference in a very competitive and respectful tier 2, join Kaineng. You will face top guilds from TC and FA.
