I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone else, but EBG right now is unplayable in the FA/SBI/IOJ matchup. Everyone is constantly disconnecting. Everyone. Anet please fix

+1, IoJ here and I concur. EB has been booting random people for no reason at all. And no. Its not my, or our internet speed.

Yeah, the lag/DC’s for EB in the FA/SBI/IoJ matchup are pretty bad.

It seems to only be EB; the BL’s don’t have DC issues.

SBI is having this issue too.

Ive been DC’d from EB after a couple mins since this last reset then I could log back in and play no problem but today I can’t stay in EB longer than a couple mins before it boots me every time. The other BL’s don’t do this.

It’s getting worse, not better.

The disconnects are even when there isn’t a zerg at all.

I don’t have DC’s, but I experience terrible lags not seen before. And it’s not only me, but the whole guild and /m, /t chats talking about it.

I was near SM wall, started to revive a down player. The progress bar didn’t go up. After a second I was in my keep. Yet, from what I hear from people I still run better than many who are starting to give up on playing because of that.

During this, I have 0% packet loss and 30ms latency as usual.

When lags happen? Whenever there are orange swords on the map. No matter you are at the other end of EB (or recently even borderlands are affected) running with 60fps and fighting a a tiny group of enemies with your roamer group. It will still lag for you like hell.

Someone should lose his job I think. More than a year and still they can find NO SOLUTION to this issue and if they do something, it only exacerbates the situation and makes it unplayable.

Or maybe solving this would cost money and Anet comes with a reasoning like:
(Lag in WvW doesn’t make people quit the game) => (no financial loss from it) => (no point investing money to help it) => (leave it as it is and ignore the community)

I doubt Anet would ever outwardly ignore the community. They obviously want all players to have the best gameplay experience as possible. Lag is certainly an issue that they are aware of and are constantly trying to fix. It may seem like they’re ignoring the community sometimes, but Anet has said that they read a lot of what we write – just that they can’t reply to every single thing.

It’s not one person’s job to be in charge of lag control, and no one should be losing their job just because of this. It’s not something they can fix in a day.

The point of this thread was to report unusual lag and disconnects from EB in the FA/IoJ/ SBI matchup, not to criticize how people do their jobs. If you want to discuss the more general issue of lag in the game, you can take a look at and contribute to this thread.

Same here EB is a nightmare right now for me, yesterday it was only massive lag but today it’s more dc’s than anything else. Anywhere close to a larger group and I just dc, at other times it just randomly happens.

So it’s only the SBI v IOJ v FA matchup, and only in eternal battlegrounds? No other matchups are getting constant DCs in wvw? Please give your server in this thread if you are.

This is making EB unplayable. Is ANET even looking into this game-breaking bug?

Oh wow, I thought this was just me. I also get massive skill lag and game crashes every time I enter EB. I swear I d/c the moment I enter IoJ spawn in EB. Wonder how locking a map out like this is affecting the PPT game.

borderland seems to be fine. it’s only happening in EB(ip 64.25.38.162)

ya I cant even stay in EB for more than a couple minutes… and if i run anywhere close to a battle I experience mass lag and d/c’s….

Yup, this continues to happen. Seems like we are reporting it and ANET is ignoring it. Any word ANET or you just hoping it goes away?

EB is not playable. FA had to respond to an EB keep call and half the people jumping on map were getting disconnected before they got out of spawn.

YEP, Pretty bad last couple of days, just seems like a router going poop when stuff is happening.

When I log in (SBI), I assume I will get booted at least once soon after joining. Seems to have started with the Friday patch.

Anet needs to reboot the coffee machine. The lag and constant dc is unplayable.

I don’t even know why they keep using kitchen appliances. Last time it was a bread toaster.

Please make sure to include your server matchup if you are not SBI/IoJ/FA so that Anet knows how far this issue has spread.

Disconnects on JQ/TC/BG.

Seems commanders are particularly vulnerable. <boggle> Could be because they are (or define) ground zero.
