I think easiest fix is, the gate must be below 99% in order for any dmg hitting it to trigger contested.
This would require quite a significant effort by a solo person trying to disrupt the WP, and could be countered by a defender repairing the gate back up.

I like that idea as well. Would be the same for walls too (since some classes can do damage to walls)
This is so that people can fake attacks?
I think it’s a perfectly valid tactic especially if somebody has a borderland with multiple waypoints, it’s less chance of someone porting their entire zerg across the map from anywhere else plus we have the 30 second contest timer now if you have good scouts you will catch them early if it’s a fake attack or a proper assault.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

I think it is goofy that 1 person can contest a wp just because they went up and tapped the gate once.
I think siege should be required before the wp gets contested.
They could get rid of the 30 second window if it required siege.
Its one of the few things in the game that doesn’t outright support the kiddie zerg mentality. You know, the one where everyone has to hold each others hands to be able to do anything?
