For some scenarios when trying to take a keep or tower, I can’t make it to the circle to capture in time that it is capped. This could be for multiple reasons such as dying to an enemy zerg while in the base or just way pointing in so not being entirely caught up with our own zerg.

What things can I do to try to get contribution for taking a tower/keep if it turns out I won’t be able to get in the circle to cap? Does attacking the gate give contribution? Does killing npc’s or enemy players help give contribution? Or do I just have to do damage to them but not necessarily kill? Also, does being dead or in the down state at the time in which the team caps (while not in the circle) the place affect whether or not I get contribution? Sorry for the excess questions lol but if anyone has insight on any of these, any help is appreciated.

Killing other players or NPC guards in the objectives influence area count for capture contribution.

last night I trebbed SE tower from the hills for half an hour. I knocked down 2 walls (3 if you count knocking down a repaired wall again). my teammates went in, took the tower, and I got no credit.

My groups will sometimes set up siege, and if we have to move and leave a team there to finish the cap, we just tap the gate a bit. It gives you full credit most of the time. (Even when it doesn’t something is better than nothing).

There are other times when I have tapped nothing, and stood in the circle and got nothing (SM and some other random keeps). Tapping the gate for a bit is your best bet IMO.

You can just tap or kill a guard.

I’m not sure what it was I did for a tower, I don’t even think I tagged a guard, I don’t remember going around to any side that wasn’t all wall, and still got credit for it an hour after being in that area. I was guarding water gate when I got the credit.

I think that golem drivers, treb, catapult, and ram operators should get credit for taking the structure they helped open up.

You get 40 WXP per wall, you got credit just not for the cap.

yeah, I meant tower cap credit. it was one of the achievements on last night’s list of dailies. I ended up going to another tower later in the evening to pick up that one.

You have to get the credit within the “Assault the Tower/Keep/Batman” event range.
