Cooldown for changing WvW-map
Unintended consequences. Server A’s giant blob moves to map X. Server B (your server) is on map Y with a 30 minute cooldown and cannot react, thus Server A steamrolls map X with no resistance anyway.

Eviator brings up a good point and his scenario will happen and guaranteed there will be plenty of QQ threads (rightly so) due to peeps stuck on a border with a thumb up their kitten waiting for the cooldown.
Eviator does bring up a good point. At the same time I do agree with the OP about “map stacking” being a negative point about the game mode. What could discourage this I don’t know.
Maybe that can work on high populations wvw servers, although I have my doubts, but that cooldown system can harm medium and low populations servers since they wouldn’t have enough players to cover all the maps during the cooldown period.

As a guild we’re always looking for fights and thus hop border alot. When there’s no or not enough action anymore we leave to another map. Cooldowns would make this impossible and I’m not gonna sit on a map where I get bored to death.
