Guild Wars 2

I would like to thank all the DH in the jp last night.. It was fun having fights with you. I know there weren’t many DH or GOM there but we had our own little fight night.
DH guild tags (INC) and (Abys).. you guys are cool and hope to do that again sometime.

Just to note a trend I see in WvW lately:

We all know we can now party up with other servers, some use it to make some nice duels etc and it’s a interesting use of this “bug”. I’m borderline on it being ok though, because of communications between server etc etc.

Now, the real problem is, I’m being shout at by my own comrades, because I kill red names that are “friends” that are grouped with them.

I’m really sorry in advance, but I will continue attacking every DH and HoD I see, even if the odds are not on my side and even if it’s your “friend”. If you wanna play WvW together, please consider transfering!

Been whispered and called names because I play the game is becoming tiring, and I play a necro to boot so it’s not even like I’m stealthing my way to victory!

By the way, gotta say I loved the last 3 weeks, been the closest fights we’ve seen in a long time. I try 3 times a day to grab my favorites camp in other BLs and keep them, and there’s always peoples that quickly comes and defend it with all their might. Good fight!

Thanks it was a lot of fun for us as well, and a great way to end a good evening in WvW. That warrior was one tough SOB!

I also understand the previous post about “grouping” the other servers. I did the same thing last night where I started attacking red and all of the other DH in the area said, “Why are you attacking him??”

Once I realized everyone was being civil the warrior and myself ran over to the side and started a 1v1, after that others joined in and we took turns fighting and rez’ing downed players. It turned out to be a ton of fun and actually helps players figure out which traits/skills work best against which classes.

I don’t know that I would go so far as to say, “If you want to WvW with them then transfer” as what happened last night helped improve the pvp ability for members of our Guild. That will make us more effective out in the field in the coming weeks.

Just saying that while normally I am of the mindset that “red is dead”, last night I walked away glad that it didn’t turn out that way. I would have missed out on a good time where everyone was actually showing good sportsmanship. After getting rolled by 5 HOD in their borderlands, having them strip their armor and start dancing/jumping up and down on my body… good sportsmanship was something I was craving.

Thanks Pita for the fun last night and I hope we can do it again as well. ; )

Yeah that’s why I’m borderlin with the “grouping”, duels seems like a cool idea, maybe they could just implement it elsewhere, or on a specific borderland (arena style).

However if they want to do jumping puzzles and hold hand together, then please, transfer and everyone will be happ. At least it will be a true cooperation.

hey.. no problem anytime you wanna get together and just practice im more than happy too… it was fun indeed. and that warriorhad alot of fun too. he was wondering who the norm female thief was that he fought. he wanted to say good fight.

That was me. : ) The first couple of times he whooped me and that helped me figure out some trait/skill changes that will make me much better against warriors/guardians in the future.

Tell him great match! That was some of the best 1v1 I’ve had since I started.

Btw… To the other Denravians, have we lost players or is everyone PvEing? The last few days in WvW have felt flat out dead everytime I’ve been on.

check our community forums – also I know I don’t speak for everyone but with all the incoming changes (not just rating reset) and new content (I actually logged into GW1 and did the Canthan new year quests to get a celestial ox) I’m just focusing on PvE atm and really have spent much time in WvW at all

I know I’m not alone in feeling we may have focused too much on WvW which isn’t helping our community of newer players trying to get through Orr and aquire gear so we actually opened and had open all the temples at one point also there are new exotic back and accessories available at them now go go new Grenth soldier gear

Also one final shout out to TeamBattleAxe, the RH guild, and all of GoM you guys have done a great job reorganizing. Darkhaven we wish you the best as well, I know we will have the same matchup next week but I may not even bother posting in the WvW forums for a bit so thought it was good to post this now on a Friday before reset salute

Thanks for the kind words! Scarecrow, Setkira, Jael Fae, and several others have really stepped up and gotten things rolling behind the scenes for us. Commanders are communicating well with each other, we’re starting to attack/defend with purpose, and more importantly, our players seem to be having a lot more fun out there. Of course, having two good, scrappy servers like HoD and DH around to constantly keep us on our toes helps as well.

I definately have noticed the GOM presence of late. At first I was swearing at my map b/c I couldn’t keep you guys out of our BL. Then I moved to full outright respect for you guys.

Bravo GOM and HOD!

I know my guild has had the best time in WvW the last three weeks.
