Ladies and Gents,

Three nights ago a secret mob boss meeting held place and led to the single largest unification of WvW players in Dark Haven Server history. We haven’t really come up with cool name for it (depends on which domain we get for alliance website), but its now known as Dark Haven Alliance.

What the alliance offer:

1. Dedicated Central Command Post where all guild leaders can communicate to each other to support each other’s war effort.

2. Free 200 slots ventrilo server for everyone in Dark Haven WvW.

3. Leadership and guidance for new guilds who are getting into WvW.

4. An interactive website with forums. (currently in construction).

With our combined effort, we have managed to win our first day after the reset. After been recapped saturday morning. Our night cap team led by HOT has recapped up to +415 score during saturday night and for a few hours led our server score to top.

We are still working on a better communication system, and we want your inputs!

Hello Darkhaven peeps. I had the same idea Lurko did without coming across his efforts till I posted on reddit. There’s forums set up at www.darkhaven-wvw.com if anyone thinks it’s useful. I joined up with HVN so I’m aware they have ventrilo set up that people are using. I don’t know how big it is but I have a 500 slot public teamspeak 3 server set up at voice.darkhaven-wvw.com.

I’m just going to come out and say this isn’t the forum to do it: But how do I get on a guild in this alliance? The “Guild” part of these forums aren’t amazingly conducive, and my buddy and I want to be a part of a coordinated WvWvW movement on this server.

Me and my Army [Omen] would like to join this growing and active phenomenon of Alliance..

7. Good DHA, now have site and forum for communication

People who want to join DH should first check the kind of post iii is writing. Then you will know the kind of individual he is. When even people from is server are sorry about is behavior, it says something.

I have nothing again DH, but when your leader is such an arrogant character, you won’t get any sympathy.

For the record, DHA does not have any single leader. Every Guild Leader representing a guild in good standing is a co-leader of the alliance with an equal vote. iii just happens to be one of our most vocal leaders and unfortunately, his ego get the better of him.

Without a doubt, he is a very effective Commander and deserves the respect our server gives him. I just wish he would say more in the public forum to earn respect from opposing players not on DH.

He also does a good job of angering our enemies (past, present and future) enough to rise up and rally against us. I’ve asked him to redirect his energy to inspiring our own players and not inciting the anger that could be used as fuel to crush us.

I hope he listens to me.

I wish you all the best but PD has moved to Fort Aspenwood. Two of our oldest and most trusted allies (dating back to UO days) play there and we felt it was a better fit to our play style.

Kardiamond, forum communication is not the same as in game battle communication. Someone may be good at articulating there words, but freeze in battle. In game iii is another character I have not seen anything wrong with his direct approach, rather he’s been pivotal at times. In forums, this does not translate so well (it’s night and day imho). He did make an effort to offer suggestions to help based on his perception of the other servers play. Everyone is entitled to do so, but they chose the form they wish to present it. I’ll take a direct approach which bodes poorly offline, so long as online it translates to something tangible (even if it’s only an effort to execute on a strategy).

People considering to join Darkhaven likely understand that everything isn’t all about feel goods, and hugs. And if you’ve been in competative pvp style games for years, iii is more a kitten in comparison to ladder leaders. It’s about learning and growing your skills, based on experiences and knowledge bases of those you roll with. I’m from Darkhaven and continually grow with this in mind. A lot has been thanks to that individual you reference. In game it’s much different, and no one needs to extend apologies. I come from a heavy competitive pvp background where I’ve seen much worse.

There are multiple commanders we have who do an excellent job coordinating our server efforts, and presently are solidifying a strong base of pvp & wvw players. These growth is all based off of faults and failures of past (learn and grow). <<— this is the strength of joining a server who can take our defeats and learn from them, while growing our competitive aspect of this game. Enjoying your victories, can get to your head once in a while (I am no exception – I admit this week was so different that my ego got the better of me too). Being able to recognize and learn from it (something he’s already showed me in other aspects) is something not everyone has/does.

Darkhaven has a very enjoyable WvW player base and building some great organizational frameworks to plan/communicate/learn and grow each week, that’s about the only thing that really matters when a guild feels like testing a server (and the decision is not based on server ranking).

Our guild found it’s home based on this, and we look forward to being a strong contributor to our WvW efforts. I noticed how large the Alliance is grown and fast.

There is no single leader here.
We all contribute,
We all learn and grow our skills,
and most of all …
We all take our swords in our own hands and do what needs to be done,
We all lead Darkhaven.

If you are not an english speeking guild then that is fine too. I have absolutly no problem using google translator…aslong as I know the language you are speaking then I will do everything I can to translate and reply back. lol kinda cheesy but it would def be worth it.

Last I heard RE is not technically allianced with anyone atm, I may be wrong, but I dont think so.

Yeah, I think the idea is that we’ll work with you guys, but we don’t want to get tied into politics. Consider us self-fulfillment mercenaries.

Most of our guild works together with just about anyone with sound strategy and a will/desire to use our talent/knowledge when we are on the field. I agree with kita here, the idea of an alliance for the server sounds okay but its not for everyone, some just want to avoid the politics and have fun while helping the server at the same time. So ty for at least acknowledging our efforts for the server in your guild list brender. You would be amazed at how often it feels as if it goes unnoticed.

To add on to that acknowledgement Wintuo, I see RE out in WvW all the time doing what they can when they can. So I believe I speak for everyone when I say thanks for helping this server.

Also to all the other guilds that would take me forever to mention THANK YOU aswell for your help and support for the Darkhaven WvW warmachine.

Okay guys, here’s the deal. Two weeks ago we were Tier 5. Last week we were Tier 4. This week we’re tier 5. Tommorow we’ll probably be Tier 4. Sense a pattern? Darkhaven is the ultimate underdog. Ever since Rall’s hacking days and massive influx of guilds, Darkhaven’s been struggling to get by. We’ve faced hackers, egos, pugs, time differences… forum suspensions, but none of that stops us. Until now.

We’re stuck. We can’t progress any further. We are the definition of “average” when it comes to servers. Yes we have a lot of crappy players that can’t even read something as simple as Team Chat, but we also have a lot of dedicated guilds willing to do whatever it takes to win. That’s why we keep beating the coordinated Maguuma server. They have coordination, but we have devotion.

But we need more. What we have isn’t enough. The only days when we have queues are on Fridays. I frequently ask myself if DH is even a WvW server.

As a Maguuma player on the outside you guys definately have the numbers. As Maguuma has seen. But somehow you guyz need to find a way to get your pugs under control. Dragonbrand and Maguuma have prob 2/3 of the population that you guys do. None the less i’ve enjoyed the fights with you guys. Darkhaven has the potential you guyz just need to put it together. Maguuma will always be here to keep giving you guys a good fight.

No, we didnt leave KN, personally I wouldnt mind going back to DH, but I dont think thats going to happen.

Well while this 7 month-old thread is briefly revived… DH has been holding her own fabulously after all but three of those guilds in that list transferred/disbanded… heh. A resilient bunch for sure. We are a healthily active server with a great balance and interest in both PvE and WvW with a solid community for both. Come guest in our LA and take some sightseeing photos of our resident dancing naked norn.

Darkhaven does now have a new serverwide free teamspeak with 500 slots available for any Darkhaven guild with a lot of guilds that have joined already. The teamspeak is just not for WvW guilds , but for PvE and sPvP. guilds too. Come join us. Contact me or a RioT guild member for info. Note: this is not my teamspeak i am just helping to promote it.
