Dark Haven really need to get our “morning crew” together! We have a great evening/night crew as many of you know it. Some even call us the “unofficial Aussie/Kiwi” server. We have a huge day presence and we need more capable guilds to coordinate our pugs! Our community communicates well together and we are ready to learn from you.

I think AR may start believing they can win too. Last weeks fight made our players harder, meaner, and more battle ready than they have ever been. Took us until last night to figure that out, but regardless of the forum chatter last week, fighting DH made AR better, so I have to thank you for that.

Last time I cheked we were batteling for the third place with Borliss Pass? Do we have a day crew now?

Good news! A small guild of 10 from A top bracket server has already contacted me for interview, we are getting progress here! Remember we take any guilds small or large!

I’m on Darkhaven and have been since launch. I’m confused about our server though. I was under the impression that it is a North American (west coast) server. Which is why I selected it to begin with (along with the name).

My issue is that the day WvW is very weak and underpopulated while our overnight crew is well populated. I’ve heard some people mention the reason for this is we have a heavy Aussie population on the server but then others have debunked that theory. So what gives? What is up with Darkhaven?

I’m primarily able to play during the day as I am on the west coast and it’s not fun to play in WvW when you’re extremely outnumbered.

Anyone know what truly is up with our servers pop imbalance?

Our server does have a healthy Aussie population, but a lot of our night time strength comes from night time playing North Americans. We’re lacking in population during the morning through the afternoon, this is due to people being at work, and people staying up late to participate in the night time game.

You’ll notice though, against NSP, when prime time kicks in we immediately start gaining ground and by the end of prime time we usually own 3/4 if not more of the map. The problem is basically:

1. A healthy percentage of our population is overseas (they play at night but sleep through our morning/noon).
2. A healthy percentage of our population is NA people who stay up late to participate in the night game (which is a blast).
3. A lot of our fellows are at work and the like during the day.

Any of these 3 factors alone wouldn’t do too much to our server during the morning/noon periods, but throw them together and you’ve got a very unhealthy population during the morning period. If we can fix that one issue, our server will become a very, very hard server to beat (I’d imagine).

We wouldn’t mind some morning players either! (8am Central Standard Time-3pm CST)

I play a lot during the day between college courses and we definitely could use more out to help the good fight! (Today actually went very well, we managed to take a bit of stuff from Shiverpeaks to help offset the score a little. Shiverpeaks seems to have a good amount of players that play during this time.)

Edit: The title already says we need daytime guilds, here I thought it was saying we need night-time guilds! Disregard/regard my post then! lol

a lot of other servers been wanting a night crew, and WE have one! isn’t that great! it just happens that lots of australian guilds, chinese guilds, flilpino guilds, etc. decided they like the competitive yet welcoming atmosphere of Dark Haven. what we need is a morning crew of aorun 100+ people, that way this server can go grow to be more competitive in terms of 24 hour coverage.

like the gent said, when we were getting our rears handed by yaks few weeks ago, we decided to hit them where they are weakest, so the nightcrew was formed by north americans + oceanics +coffee abusers who joint in fight around 12midnight to 8am pst. we had a great blast and our names were getting out there. then lots of people have joined our server during prime time so we are now great from 7pm-8am pst. what we need is a morning crew, these guys will then complete the transition of dark haven from a server in the last brackets to a mid tier server.

Yeah, he can definitely blame that on me, haha! Recently, I told Seal, my guild boss, privately to s t f u on these forums or take his bragging tone down a notch. He “manned up” and listened to the helpful, albeit harsh advice a friend without getting offended and I thank him for that.

I like it too when he boasts in a friendly rivalry tone. I love it in fact. It’s just when he imo, goes too far with a not-so-friendly condescending tone that bothers me and a lot of people. He HAS gotten better (and folks on these forums should recognize that) but I don’t think he has to go all-out care bear, so he might have over-corrected a bit, haha!

As my post said, a lot of our night time population is NA, not Aussie. In reality, our server has a very, very large day-time population — they’re just off PvEing. It’s not an Aussie server, we are primarily west coast, with a healthy amount of oversea (Aussie and Thailand IIRC) population.
