Dear Guards, Why Me?
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
So I’m not the only one that happens to, I have another Wi Flag xD

Usually the first to come into range + threat calculation. If you have a high range of stats (PVT really sets if off) you would probably get picked up on as the biggest threat.
Just as PvE foes focus on characters who rez or who are putting on the most DPS.

That could explain my heavies but not my other classes such as thief or ranger. This happens on ALL my classes and doesn’t seem to change based on build either. I am not even the highest WvW level in our small group. I can be the first or the last into a camp and it is almost a certainty that the scouts will shoot me the entire fight.
It is really strange and kind of annoying especially on my melee classes.

Did you ever get that huge champ near Caer Shadowfain after you? That one was annoying.
I’m joining this club, please I want a sticker or something to paste on my back, something like “meatshield posse for life”.
I can understand why they choose to touch me when I’m on my Warrior, kinda understand it on my Guardian, could find an excuse on my Necro, but flat out flabbergasted when it happens on my Ele.

I’m also in that group, but I know the reason. I run 3500 armor. They love to target me. I get to be the one that has to survive a determined tower lord as we wait out the buff and so on. Without fail.
Why it would target your rogue/ele? I have no clue. Probably because I’m not there…
I can give a great argument for everything but a ranger.
Warriors = toughness and vitality stacking with high damage
Guardians = high toughness + support
Necros = high condition damage means high DPS
Eles = high damage or high support
and so on. Depends if anyone is min/maxing any stats.
High toughness used to make you a target, don’t know wether it still does or not…
The devs said that the AI does pick out its targets but different bosses have different criteria for choosing who to ‘pick’ on…
I know since I lowered my toughness across all my characters I get targeted a lot less now.
@OP
when was the last time you took a shower? Running around all the time works up a lot of sweat ya know.
Currently @ some T1 server in EU
It’s the AI. What’s your armor rating?
Haha. Happened to me the other day. My server was busy capturing a garrison and here I am trying to find my way in; got pinned by a guard followed with a quick massacre by two groups of them.

why do bosses chase my thief then =.=
[Teef] guild :>
They target the person with the highest armor.
