No. I am mainly a roamer/skirmisher but my way to play shouldn’t be the only way to play. Lots of people like running in a big group. Why should they be punished? I could be sold on a small team/roamer speed buff though.

WvW trains should get their speed buffs removed, maybe when there are more than 10 people within 600 range or something. No?
ANet has already said that they want to avoid any situation where players wouldn’t want another player to join them because it would create a penalty. My suggestion is to make the penalty so small that no single player makes much of a difference. Specifically, reduce the speed of a group by 0.5% (0.005) for each person over 5 in the group so that a group of 55 would be moving 25% more slowly. No one person will make a big difference but a large group will be moving more slowly. That’s the way it works in real life because in real life, clumps of people have to avoid collisions.
So lets say we went with your idea. All you’d achieve is having zergs and blobs, only moving 25-33% slower than usual.

On the highway, can you perceive a difference between 60MPH and 80MPH? Between 40MPH and 60MPH?
