Make the decay slower farther away from the base. This will encourage roamers and people in general to be more aggressive and invade into enemy territory.

Good idea in theory. But what would be to stop people from abusing that? I can see all kinds of people going afk across the map, just because the decay is slower on the other side of said map.

I think this would encourage spawn camping. Since in theory the further away you would be the slower the decay added to if you kill someone your protected from decay for 10 min. I dint think it would end to well.

Spawn camping doesn’t exist in this game, because there are multiple routes from which to spawn and traverse the maps.

What you describe is a learn to play issue and balance issues related to blatantly unfair matchups (aka ur whole ebg corner is conquered and camped for 12+ hours straight).

Yes I unfortunately have to agree with that part of your statement. People are quicker to blame than they are to learn when it comes to wvsw.

Roaming has been being phased out by anet for a long time now. This recent attack isn’t anything new.

Be thankful that there are “ways” to get around it like shared participation. The thing with shared participation is it ticks rather slow and depends on how much the zerg gets done…..so it can replace ur participation and keep u gaining slower than as a normal roamer…so basically u wanna use it when you solo/group roam up past ur 90ppt mark. SO that’s a very specific way to get around the nerf….its difficult at times but it can work.

Commanders should be more liberal when awarding shared participation. Personally I’ll give it to anyone who asks…..even if they just sit there afk. Not enough people ask for it…so its always just sitting there usually with noone using it. I’ve never seen a decent sized squad where all participation slots were filled tbh.

Spawn camping is possible I have witnessed on some rare occasions where the enemy servers has enough people to place them around all three exits from spawn. It is rare but spawn camping can happen
