Does this mean umm… for beating a warrior (Omega golem), you have to use poison (scouting) against them. If you failed or cant have poison, you could try to lure them to use all the active defenses (kill the escorts) to take it down. Or maybe you could try to just burst it down (burst it down).

It means that theoretically you could do all those things, but realistically they are still too powerful in terms of risk / reward.
Lets be honest here. Nobody is going to use supply from the map they are building the golems on. Just waypoint from fully upgraded Garri which is fed 4 Dolyaks at a time, build 15-20 Omegas in spawn and take out any wall or gate in about as many seconds. Especially easy since the fantastic introduction of sellable siege and several thousand Badges of Honor rewarded for absolutely nothing and instantly turned into golems and sold by the entire PvE population (95% of the total population).
Omegas are a brilliant example of everything that is wrong with this game: Unintelligent gameplay being the fastest way of achieving goals.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys are americans who are complaining about it.
In my eyes, 20 omega golems means a lot gold, supply, time and 20 guys less in the zerg. Shouldnt be too hard to kill the enemy if you got 20 guys more for a decent amount of time.
The qq about Omegas are a nice change of pace from the usual qq of stats/population/lag. Lets keep this thread alive!
I like omegas. They are fun.
Instead of that, allow us to spec into golems with our traits so can use all siege, while in the golem suit. Or, make it so we can just put the siege on our heads like hats!!
I once saw 5 people take out 40+ golems. Of course those golems forgot to take out the oil over the gate but who cares about details

Those must have been Alpha golems. IMO, Alphas are a waste of supply. Omegas would never be affected by your oil because they would never be on the gate. They can also take out a lot of siege with their rockets, and not to mention the ever loved spin to win!
The problem with Omega Golems is that Anet started this WvW League RIGHT after we just had the “Free Siege Glitch”. As the TP price on Omegas bottomed out, they got at least as low as 25 silver each, so now you have Commanders and Guilds with 5-10k Omega Golems sitting in the bank.
I mean, a 10 or even 20 Omega Golem rush isn’t anything new, but at least it used to be unusual. Now you have days where ALL 3 servers in a matchup will do a 20 Omega Golem rush at least once per tick! This was caused by the “Free Siege Glitch”, since previously there was, at least, some limit to how many Omegas a person or guild could make (gold, skill points), but that limit was completely removed for a week just prior to the WvW Leagues starting up.
We should probably also get a thread going on the problem of Guild Catapults, which used to be rare to see, but this week I’m seeing 8 Guilds Catapults dropped on a tower almost hourly, thanks to the same “Free Siege Glitch” that’s caused Omega Golems to be such a problem.
So the problem isn’t the Omega Golems themselves, but the huge amount of them around at the moment because of the glitch + allowing siege to be sold in TP.
The omega golems used to be pretty balanced because of their high cost and you wouldn’t see too many of them used at time. 5 omegas was super mad kitten back in the days (atleast in my server when we saw some rushes like that).
I do agree that something has to be done to the huge amount of them in the pockets of players , other than that they are pretty fine.

How does this help WvW more than removing arrow cart 1 skill. We need less people hiding behind walls and more Player versus Player determining the ppt. Not 5 guys holing up with 5 sup acs.

because there is a lot more to WvW than 40 guys hitting their head against another 40 guys.
Also, that holing up might be the only way for some of the outmanned servers to have a fighting chance, which is already ridicilously small because of the ram mastery.

The range on Superior Ballistas is 3000, the range on Superior or Guild Catapults is 4000, so if your Omegas run into a problem with Ballistas you simply drop 10 Guild Catas, which only require 25 supply each to build!
There’s a reason that Ballistas are consistently the cheapest piece of siege on TP…
Yes, Omegas are very powerful at pushing through defenses when you have a numbers advantage. However, if the defenders have equal numbers they should be able to rally and stop you. It is important to know they have the Omegas coming so you can make sure everyone gets in position and has reflects swapped onto their bar.
Delete all superior siege.
This will greatly improve WvW.
I actually agree with deleting superior siege, heh.
With masteries you can get more out of normal siege than you used to get out of superior.

I’d like an “EMP” 10 supply trap that puts all golem skills on CD for X seconds.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m in WvW 95% of my time in GW2… And I very rarely see golems used and even less so golem rushes. On top of that, a small zerg of ours took down a 20+ golem rush about a week ago and there were less of us than golems. It’s not impossible you just need to be organized and remember to evade, evade, evade.

No. Omega Golems are big business now in black merchant especially that the seasons have started. It’s like west making war to sell more firepower. Lol. I’m now having my ROI after purchasing them dirt cheap way before season 1.

Just search 50 omega golems on youtube and you will see that we on UW know of these things
Yeah, the complaint here isn’t really that a server can rush a Keep with 20 Omega Golems. It is, of course, possible to wipe that whole 20 Golem group. The problem is that, with the number of Omega Golems & other siege in the game now, a single guild can organize a NEW 20 Omega Golem rush EVERY 15 MINUTES if the 1st attempt fails~!!! After the “Free Siege Glitch”, Omega Golems are roughly about as common as Superior Arrow Carts were before the glitch.
I’m sorry but there is no way 5 people took out 40 golems that were TRYING to get into a gate. That gate would melt in literally seconds. And one person on burning oil is not going to do that much damage in that time. Have you seen youtube videos of large groups of golems attacking gates, even reinforced gates are simply gone.
