Did we break it?!
It’s definitely broken. The lag spikes when 2 big zergs hit each other, or when a third is in the mix are so bad that most are getting skill lag: inability to use their skills for 1 second, or 5 seconds, depending on the spike. It’s really bad.
It wouldn’t be that bad if it just happened once, but the big fights in SM is where I started to see this. Now it’s even big fights in garrisons and elsewhere. Anytime a big group of players fight each other, it’s lag spike after lag spike.
Combined with the culling, you can run around 30-40 of the other team and not get hurt unless it’s in between lag spikes and you’re down without a chance to heal/react, nothing.
Worse yet, I’ve seen a lot of players log out, entire guilds, entire zergs…out of pure frustration with the lag to the point where we go from winning to outmanned in just a few seconds. The gameplay is really poor after the last patch.
My guess is the last changes in the last patch let way too many players into WvW along with the culling changes or the servers need to be upgraded/reset and nobody’s doing that? Just guessing. It’s definitely not a player client issue.
