Did we get new servers?

I’m on EU, just noticed a new server ip pool, 10.83.74.53
Also I noticed I am getting the normal ping I had before all ping problems. Instead of over 300-eternity pings I am getting 210-240’ish. Ty anet if you were working on that.
update: 240 (avg 330) <— avg fluctuates
PS: this was on eb map, and yes it still lags when you encounter blobs but at least it’s nice for me to see it go this “low” compared to lately.
PPS: I hope these are new servers which fix many of the routing/latency problems that many people were having especially from ocx, sea, aus, etc. Still lagged in fights but I’ll take improved routing over nothing. Hope it stays and is not just a one off thing for the testing.
For those curious, the normal ip’s we get are usually like 206.127.159.xxx and 206.127.146.xxx

New Update: Ok, well that was sad. It is now back to original ip pools so back to bad routing and ping again. I assume server crashed again. That did not last long.

Last update: Looking over the ip, I just realise it may be a private address ip [10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255.255 range] – but why is it showing that in the game client (definitely none of my local network ip’s, mine are in 192.168.0.* range). I was connected directly, no vpns involved. Whatever it was, I had gotten a good connection at the time.

I am getting that same exact ip again, except this time it is in bitterfrost frontier map. This is just plain odd. Again, the latency from this ip is good like how my normal direct connection should be, around ~230ms. I am not on any vpn and this is my direct connection to server. Anyone at anet know what’s going on and can explain to me what this weird ip is? I’m getting it when AddressCurrent: 35.150.151.65
This would kind of make sense if if was in NA because that is usually the latency I get but I’m on EU on my main account where it is definitely over 300-3k.

Update: I think I know what’s happening now. I think what I’m seeing is that some of our servers in EU are being hosted by what seems to be spare NA servers. Got one on the enemy alpine border with ip 10.83.74.213 and I get the usual latency I get from NA servers. Again the AddressCurrent was a 35.150.151.x on connecting to that border. I’m not sure how random this is, but now I’ve seen it a few times on wvw maps and once on a pve map [it was at bitterfrost frontier but I don’t pve much so I don’t know how widespread it is]. Now the question is, do NA servers get used as some kind of spare/overflow servers for EU? I don’t mind at all since I like the lower latency.

A 10.x address is probably your ISP, tbh. A cable modem termination system.

Can’t explain the rest, I have no clue what your logs look like. Probably just you hitting a server that gets you a better route, and for whatever reason you’re capturing the 10.x traffic only for that route.
