As the title say, a Borliss Pass player randomly flew into our garrison that was protected for full 5 hours non stop, grabbed the orb and fly away. Somehow he dropped the orb but it was pointless since the altar is broken.

This is a well known hack, where a player fly into a fully protected garrison and just steal the orb. I understand this may be the work on a random troll, but really? On the weakest server ever. Do you guys really need to do this? Final countdown of the tick and we don’t have the orb bonus. After that incident happen, most of the players just give up and log off. Thank you for spoiling our day.

Me after found the orb laying inside garrison. Sadly the altar is broken and as you can see the countdown of the orb is running. It’s just a matter of time.

Some idiot did it and I’m upset that someone did that. As a BP player, we were taking everything on the map and suddenly to see that hapkitten upsetting.

We didn’t need to and why someone did it, I have no clue. It ruins our reputation and all sides have been playing fairly up until that point.

I hope whoever did it gets punished. It was absolutely ridiculous. I’m still mad that someone on BP did this. I hope they remove Orbs and the bonuses until it gets fixed. If they do want the orbs in place, just make it something lame like +10% Magic find until they fix the orbs and all this hacking.

I’m Dyneis, leader of Kings of Kaineng (KAIN) on Kaineng server. That was bullkitten. After SoS worked all night taking back our entire borderland, I worked all morning and afternoon defending and rallying troops. We finally fortified our keep to near max and suddenly a hacker jumps into the altar room, and smashes the altar to pieces.

Kaineng is the underdog server. We’ve been at the bottom forever, and the instant we finally manage to do well, these guys begin hacking. I just wish we could have gotten a screenshot of the guy.

I’m disappointed in you, Borlis Pass. You didn’t have to resort to hacking to take our orb away, you probably would have broken in eventually.

As a matter of fact, 20 minutes after the orb was smashed in, you did break into our keep. I really enjoyed the last battle when you squeezed in, the results of the first breakthrough was hilarious. It was a good fight in the end, but a lot of people left after the hacking incident happened.
I hope some day in the future we can have a legitimate and proper fight without having to worry about hackers. Who knows, perhaps we would have held the keep!

I typed that part of my post while I was in the heat of the moment. It’s quite ridiculous, and I’ve been working all morning long trying to make people listen to me. So after all my work had been crushed in mere seconds, I was quite put off. I’m glad to hear the person was apprehended, I hope that punishment comes swiftly.

Tiresome defense. People know the whole server didn’t hack. People aren’t idiots. But the entire server benefits. Reporting’s gained little ground in this matter, regardless of server. So at this point, even if it is a single guild or person or whatever, it’s pretty much like painting a big target on the realm that says “Yes, we want to be focus fired.”

Now I’m not saying it is the same person, but….

That pic looks like the same mesmer as the one in the video from the Yak’s Bend hacker. Rather odd that it looks like the same gear and colouring.

I’m sorry Kaineng had to suffer and blow like this. I have been so proud of your spirit. Please don’t let the actions of 1 person take that spirit away from you.

Yea this is the first time some1 has hacked on borlis pass. Its rather sad and ruins the game. We were at the garrison at the inner gate when this happened. It made no sense. We were going to take it eventually. Just some random who wanted to troll both severs and in the process make borlis pass look like Aholes.

Might be a little late, and I’m not involved in any of the servers, but I believe that if you talk to the quartermaster the altar can be rebuilt.

I didn’t partake in the orb raid. I don’t condone such BS. You guys deserve better.

It is really sad as people are heat up with the defenses, and after hearing that the orb being hacked, they just logged off. To make it worst, we’re just few minutes away to finish the upgrade on garrison.

Borlis Pass you have shown your colors. As a server you should just abandon the keep where it rests or you are all complicit.

About the most pathetic move I’ve seen in an online game. Borlis Pass is relegated to fighting the underpop servers for a reason.

Tons of exploiters or hackers in BP. There’s this one Necro from Hanky Panky where it seems like the target we’re hitting is his shadow. Everytime you’re meleeing him he will teleport. Please get all this thing done before you claim you want a legitimate fight.

No need to rage at Borlis for the acts of 1 person. This is the first time I’m aware of anything getting “hacked” in Kaineng/Devona bracket, so lets hope it doesn’t happen again and be thankful it has never happened before.

Wow… so someone did hack at some point? I was not around at the time. I was pretty happy that none of us in our bracket had resorted to such measures to “win”… only to hear about this today. I’m sorry someone did this, not only because of how it affected Kaineng and Devona but also Borlis Pass, for those of us who would rather do things legitimately. I personally, as well as a great many others, don’t condone the use of hacking.

If anything I just hope ANet either finds a solution to prevent these fly/jump/you name it hacks soon or just remove the orbs altogether. The orbs in my opinion are pointless anyway… we’d still have the challenge of fighting over land without them and everyone would be on even footing. :/ But that’s just my opinion.

Hacking against Kaineng… I mean, hackers in general on a game this scale should be IP banned and left in some dark basement with their pizza boxes. However, hacking these guys… you should simply feel ashamed.

One guy hacks and yet you blame a whole server of people….

Guys remember to make screenshots or videos if you have a recording program running. And most important, select the player and report for hacking.

I really hope Anet deletes hacker accounts and bans their IP.

It is really hard to do that when you never expected it to happen. I mean how will you react when you sees a person flying above you, and grab the orb and smashed the altar? It’ll mostly be WTF. Not spam screen shot. Maybe later we will do that. Though I really hope stuff like this won’t happen again.
