Disappearing enemies
Not sure but I had my Engineer in today and ran across an enemy Guardian. As soon as I attacked the Guardian went stealth and did not reappear until she was 20 feet away from me. Now there is nothing that I know of that will cloak a Guardian who is at full health.

Nope, I should have mentioned that she was a human.
Could be these: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_Infiltration
More likely the frequency of these disappearing acts seem to be the servers acting strange with the abnormal load they’re trying to handle.
I have seen this as well. usually happens to me after they have downed. They just poof, like they went stealth, but i know they didn’t, or they logged out. But wouldn’t logging out give me the xp reward as well?
I just started noticing it about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Some of them at least were likely queued for another WvW map or sPvP match and they got the queue prompt. When this happens they’d have a 30-60s or so window to travel to the WvW map or SPvP match (depending on which). This can be done even if you’re in combat.

I considered this. It’s a possibility but the chances of a queue pop at just the right moment (even given 60s leeway) really make it highly unlikely.
More likely IMO is the possibility of a disconnect, maybe triggered by a sudden burst of activity. I’ve certainly been getting a lot of DCs lately but I don’t think any happened in a fight.
PS. I play Norn. The Norn elite doesn’t work like that, you transform very obviously into a ‘leopard’ first.
There is a bug related to a consumable item that lets you do it
Not gonna post it here obviously, its already been forwarded to devs
Now to wait 5 months until it gets fixed

That’s what I was looking for. Thought it had to be something like that.
Now I just need to look see what just went through the roof on the TP.
i done it few times OP
it is called queue popped for EB
[Teef] guild :>
It has happened quite a bit to me but I am usually queued in one BL for another.. Tonight several of my party members were in the middle of a fight and our EB queue popped all at the same time. We considered it but we’d been in queue for a looooong time so we went ahead and hit it. I am sure the people we were fighting were quite perplexed
