That’s such a load of rubbish that their is no alliance. I watched last night as two groups one ET and one IoJ split when heading towards godsword. They could have fought each other they were like 20 and 20 people. They both choose to run after smaller CD groups in different directions. I’m not posting these things from a bubble I watched it literally happening.

Also as of the 28th ET was 4th ranked and CD was 6th. There was a massive exodus to ET because ET was high pop at the time and CD was full 24/7. Yesterday the servers got an expansion on population limits in some hope by the devs to work things out. It was too late.

It is not just that CD is disorganized, which it is now, no one will deny that. It is in the WvWvW we are harshly out numbered and that hurts moral.

You have two groups having fun that don’t want to log off due to the fact they are having fun and one that rage quits because they are constantly getting wiped.

The rewards should be scaler in BOTH directions or people will always transfer to the sever with better rewards.

This and other discussions like just prove, to me at least, the WvW is far from the casual PvP expierence they claimed it was going to be.

Its just Zerg around the Rosie, and like numerous ppl from winning servers have stated they attack the weaker teams because they want points and the weaker team is just easy points to them.

So although im sure its fun when you have the high pop WvW zerg server tht runs around in one huge group dominating the weakest server of the 3 because points wise its the “smart” thing to do. Those bottom servers are just going to lose interest and it will just turn into 1v1.

So as long as there are points and the point system is the way it is, WvW is just about who has the highest pop with the occansional epic battle inbetween. But I think it is just doomed to turn into a fight for T1 supremacy.

Think im gonna stop grinding for WvW gear and start leveling an alt. Maybe when free server transfers end it will get better.

In all seriousness the situation is entirely on the server underperforming, each server easily has the numbers available to through into WvW… Maybe not for all timezones but at least for most. Man up about it, your server has just given up… You were doing so well during that first weekend and were fighting hard, you were even infront but for some reason most people just stopped.

I can understand your point about gold and siege but that is were us oceanics are as well, everything we do will probably be gone after we log but we try anyway.

You just stated the problem right there. Far more often that not, it always became ET and IoJ vs. CD. I saw that again and again and again in EB. With the way that WvW is set up, it just doesn’t work that the lower two fight together against the top because everyone is so concerned about points and placements. When it became obvious that ET was going to be #1, then IoJ’s focus switched onto CD so that they could stay in 2nd place.

I hope you realize how demoralizing it is that it ends up with two sides against the one in 3rd place because it is viewed as easiest points. It is a snowball effect where we end up constantly having to combat both sides because they wont attack each other. I remember spending 6-7 hours one evening watching the progress in EB. It was a constant struggle and eventually takeover of our side of the map while essentially it was quiet on both ET’s and IoJ’s sides of the map the entire time. I was just so shocked that nothing was happening there.

I’m pretty sure this match-up is over for us on CD. I haven’t been able to get on WvW since the GoM/BG match-up, and our WvW population is pathetic now.

I usually play from a little after prime time into the early morning PST, and the population difference is very noticeable. I’m pretty sure we lost a ton of people to other servers. Personally, I hope they get stuck with 3+ hour queues, they deserve it.

With what we have now, there is no way we can compete with the servers bouncing between tier 1 and tier 2. I don’t think we could even beat Blackgate and Gate of Madness again with the lack of people and extreme lack of organization.

I think we’re in for a miserable couple of weeks as we free fall out of tier 2, through tier 3 and probably into tier 4 or even 5. Basically, Crystal Desert now is nothing compared to what we were a couple weeks ago. At least not when I’ve been online, the communication is even worse that it used to be, and even when we get the few people in chat to agree on something, no one else reads it.

I’m just about ready to jump to a different server if we can’t get organized. I don’t care to be in first, or tier 1, or whatever. I want to have a competitive, fun match with a couple other servers, and I really don’t care if that involves going to the Northern Shiverpeaks to Maguuma range (nothing against any of them, they are just in a fairly close group based on score). Honestly though, without some serious improvement, I don’t see us being competitive with anyone until the end of October.

When we’re being double-teamed…. it’s a tad difficult to try to do well. It’s very evident in Eternal Battlegrounds where our side of the map will be under constant siege while Isle of Janthir’s and Eredon Terrace’s parts of the map are quiet. That has been the case with Jade Quarry and Dragonbrand as well the previous week.

Why would ET need to double team your server when they can beat your server? Hell IoJ can prob beat CD down into the dirt.

If you’re a CD guild/alliance/player, sign up on the website so we can work together. If you’re not wanting to work with ALL of the guilds/alliances on our server – please find a new one. You are actually part of the problem.

Same thing happened last week. First week was ok, but we were winning then. My guild has 100+ people online, sort the roster by location and if I’m lucky 5 are in WvW and most of the time they are in different maps or not talking to each other. Somebody comes on our mumble last night “Is there even any point to WvW this week?”. Those of us who are on give a resounding “YES” and explain how the score is meaningless and all winning gets you is a harder fight next week, but it’s impossible to explain that to the entire server … and have them actually believe you.

And you know what? It’s actually fun to come into a map where you own nothing and a few hours later log off with a keep and a tower or two. Heck, even if all you manage to do is use some guerrilla tactics on yaks and supply camps that’s not bad either.

I really think they need to remove the score. It is not relevant. I don’t want to know it. Keep the rest of the scoreboard (potential points, orbs, bonuses), just remove those three numbers. We’ll never have a game where there is true back and forth with those numbers up there because people will come in, look at them and say “Ah well, we’re not coming back from that, I won’t bother.”

EB was utterly useless to be in. We were blocked in… and there were only a handful of us, so we could never mount an offensive.
Much less get supply to build any siege eqiup to even try to do so.

I am going to move on to doing other things till anet admits or fixes the serer populations. One moment Im getting a outnumbered bonus, then the next minute i am sitting in a que while my teammates are yelling how their are enemy players everywhere. and we had no one on the server.

Yeah my guild has had the queue issue as well, and while we’re in queue other members are saying we’re outmanned! I believe Anet has lied about having fixed the issue where if one team gets more people in, it counts as full for everyone on that map.

I lol at all the people in CD complaining about an alliance. I can assure you that everyone in IoJ hates ET. Everytime I’m in it with my guild, our focus is on ET, no lie. Why? First they provide way more of a challenge. And that’s it. CD is just a heap of mess right now and it’s pretty pathetic, thus making this matchup not as fun since CD is clearly not giving any effort. I mean just look at the point total. We have a good footing in this battle while CD’s claim is abysmal.

I’ll admit, ET is a class above both of our servers, but IoJ isn’t that far behind. ET’s point advantage pretty much came from taking CD’s territories and holding them….forever.

Basically I see it as this. We got our stools pushed in, and from there its rather demotivating to log in and see the majority if not all of the capture points some other color than our own.
Once that de-motivation kicks in… many people don’t even go into the WvW.
Hell, I myself went into EB (which only had a hand full of CD people in it) and tried to deal with the wall of ballistia, and from there went to our borderlands to at least feel like I could move beyond a wall.
Even there with more #’s it was still difficult to do much more than capture a few points.

Its simple the game is all about points and killing the weakest team is the easiest way to get points so ET and IoJ mainly focus on CD because, why wouldnt they?? its easy points. ET established they were first within the first few day by dominating the weakest team, IoJ knows they are gonna be 2nd and the way to keep 2nd isnt by poking the first place giant. So the weakest team will always get rolled first its just good tactics for how the game is structured right now.

ET deserves their win, and IoJ has earned their 2nd place because they obviously dont have as many quitters as CD does. I’m sure ET and IoJ have had plenty of battles but why would they spend too much effort fighting eachother when they can just get what they want much easier from rolling the group of 50 unorganized, unmotivated and undetermined CD WvW holdouts.

If you could kill a trash mob in PVE and get the same amount of loot/gold/xp as a group boss wouldnt you just kill the trash mob.
