This sounds like a nightmare. Yes, it took a lot of thought to come up with a very egalitarian system, that’s how I see it. However, in doing so, you’ve expanded the WvW universe way more than it already is. In order for people to get any kind of “action,” people will naturally migrate towards certain globes. This will happen every week as that will be the learned place to go. That will be highly unfair to whichever server is hosting the maps that people will migrate towards. This is essentially creating a mega-server system that will punish the few servers that ends up hosting all the players.

WvW needs to shrink, not expand.

Sorry, I dont like it. there is a great deal of thought here overall, but I think it is way too complicated + orbs ….

There are much simpler and easier ways to improve the situation, with far less manpower and hours involved to do so, I’ll give you some examples just off the top of my head.

1. Expand the outnumbered buff detection and overall functionality. you can have a “tiered” outnumbered buff for example with different effects.

Functionality wise: Add extra supplies, enable extra events “a la siegerazer” enable some combat buffs, but on Home BL only so it cant be abused for offense, for example since guard stacks are going to be removed, enable them when outnumbered on home BL. etc. many more such things can be done just with the outnumbered buff alone, using existing code thus minimizing necessary labor.

Many additional “outnumbered” bonusses and/or abilities, but applicable on Home map only.

2. Impliment a “longterm” outnumbered buff. This would be effective server wide and would go up and down from week to week, perhaps timezone to timezone.

3. Keep existing server lock outs for full servers.

4. Eliminate bottom 2 tiers of servers and provide free transfers.

5. Increase the time for Cap circles several times, seriously. then decrease that time per the tiered outnumbered buff for the server / side running with the buff.

6. make tower / keep lords, guards etc. scale much higher per number of people in combat with it.

7. Impliment appropriate rewards in WvW equivalent to those in silverwastes on per/time basis while retainign the current reward level in EOTM. Further affect the rewards as per tiered outnumbered buff.

8. Impliment a system where structures captured on enemy home maps that are left undefended will automatically revert to original owners, active defense would be necessary to end or not trigger the event.

9. Enable permamently free transfers to any servers labeled “medium” or lower. Scale transfer costs per server population status. Significantly raise transfer costs to top servers. Keep in mind that after the bottom 2 tiers are eliminated, this will be good.

10. Decrease Enemy cap values based on outnumbered buff level of the defender.

11. Decrease enemy PPK values based on outnumbered buff tier, all the way down to zero.

3) War between Worlds should typically have no borders.

All Players/Guilds are given the ability to invade any World they choose.

All Players/Guilds are given the ability to fight alongside “friends” from other Enemy Worlds.

Map player limit will not allow your 3rd, gw2 engine is very limited on that aspect, there isnt much that can be changed or done.

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

There is another option:
Server1 – Server2 – Server3 fighting each other on EBG as it is, then S1 and S2 on 1 Border Map, S1 and S3 on 1 Border Map, S2 and S3 on 1 Border Map. This would end the lag and provide fair fights between 2 servers on a certain map.

Personally i think everyone should be removed from thier server when hots comes out, when youl oad up the game for the first time after the release of hots and go into wvw that is the point you pick your server to rep. it should not even be a choice if you are only a pve player or atleast a player who will never play wvw.

This way a server will become full then people will have to choose another that they can get into, that one then becomes full and so on and so on meaning a much better spread of players, yes it’s going to stop some from being with friends or guildies etc but it’s the only true way to fix this uber server bullcrap from server like FSP and SFR. when all the server have an even player count you’ll see much better match ups.

You could also rename all the server so people don’t spam SFR or FSP coz they are under the delusion that’swhere all the good players go. with no idea wether the newly named server is good or not you would achieve and even more random/even distribution of players both good and bad across all the newly named servers.

Far too complex, and may only apply to US servers. A far simpler method would be to tier rewards so that T1 gets slightly less rewards and T8 gets considerably more. That simple change would make being in T8 worthwhile. That would encourage players to move down.

You might decide to stay put for the prestige but a lot of people would consider moving. Once people move down the servers will become a bit more volatile.

Another option would be to equalize tiers between EU and US. Once that has been achieved pair the two together – highest with lowest. Once achieved you can play for either your US server or your EU server. Logging out would automatically return you to your home server. That would also allow Transfer free movement across the atlantic, as in GW1. This would also give the option of fighting with and against new people each week as the servers change positions.

Well to start with its WvW, not WvWvW.
I know this needs a bold approach from the programmers because at the end of the day they have to rework it out, but at least it will give a fair chance to any world to fight for its border on a 1vs1 basis which is something we have seen recently being exploited by servers depending on the ranking to manipulate the outcome of the war.
Having no borders means you could end up ganged by all the other borders which is something not helpful and contribute in the manipulation of the outcome of the war.
The suggestion to find a constructive solution, is having the borderlands closed as 1vs1, its a world vs another wold – not world vs worlds, in a tri or quad server fight, whilst keeping EBG as a 3 (or maybe 4) world battle fight, probably with some minor improvements to the map as Anet was saying that they want to make the towers have a strategic importance and position either in defense or offence.
