Dismantling Siege Engines.
I think the point is that it is a money sink. If they reduce this money sink, they would need to increase it elsewhere.
They’re cheap, maybe the Siege golem is expensive to me. But they are cheap.
Buying a lot of siege weapons are expensive, tell another player to lay down an arrow cart instead of you putting down your arrow cart. Periodically remind all players to have at least one ram and/or one arrow cart with them at all times.
Instead of one player carrying fifty blue prints, fifty players bring one/two blueprints each.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I would at least let people move it just a bit when it was just built. Sometimes, a ballista is at a wrong spot and you can’t do anything but shed a tear for the lost supplies and money.
Hm Money sink you say. Look at their prices 6 silver for arrow cart and flameram or 6 badges.
Also you get 2 blue prints from jumping puzzles so 4 puzzles = 8 blue prints per day for free. You can also get them from drops.
Right now i have 3 cata 3 golems 3 trebuchets 1 superior trebuchet 16 balista 12 flamerams 14 arrow carts. And over 740 badges of honor.
You can’t always do jump puzzles when you are loosing WvW. People usually are jerks and attack while attempting jump puzzles even when no aggression is shown. So, free siege engins are not always avaliable and badges of honor are not guaranteed for killing and opposing world’s player. I would maybe get 10 bades a night when I have easily killed 50 players. It is hard to find a balance between saving badges of honor and spending them on siege engines to where no badges of honor are actually gained in the ultimate end.
If dismantling siege engines and having a small chance of getting plans back is such an issue. why not have the ability to move siege engines with wheels on them. Allowing them to be build in a safe area and then moved into a combat heavy area or moved to a new area in need of siege. Why give someting the means to move if movement is not capable.
