Do charr get targeted alot?
In WvW, not even an Asura is safe.

After that I target anything with facial hair. Once they are dead and my superior beard remains, everything else is child’s play due to it’s mojo.

If you’re running solo you’ll get targeted regardless of race/class (well, if they see you’re a thief they probably won’t bother trying to catch you ) and if you’re running with a group you’ll get targeted as well.
But not more than any other race. Why would any race be targeted over another?
And don’t forget, in zergfights it’s very hard to pick a target by choice. It’s rather done by tab spamming. Therefore, I don’t see any issue with some race being targeted more than others.
Of course there are classes that are supposed to be taken out at first in small group fights, but that’s another matter.

When dodge rolling, clone can target anyone nearby. Therefore everyone gets a shatter to the face.

i mean like in a group of 10-12 people, im afraid i would get targeted out of all of them.
Do you think that would be the case?
I think you’re being a bit paranoid Nobody targets anyone because of their character model. Would really surprise me, if anybody would do so…

well im just saying cause charrs are big :p
I disagree. As a leader of a nightly 5-10ish man thief group, I frequently say “on target, kill this fat pink/purple whatever norn he’s squishy.”
Then facial hair (there can be only one..) and anyone with a freeeeeking quagan backpack next. Even if they are some crazy bunker build.

Norn are even bigger. And I’m not getting targeted more often than on my smaller characters.
Being first target in a controlled group battle is a matter of class, not race.

Yes it does happen alot. CHar and Norn get targetted alot. But if your a tank, maybe that doesn’t matter. There are other advantages to playing a larger race though. It really depends on what your going for. Remember weapons are scaled to char size as well so a tanky GS Warrior might be better as a Norn/Char. But a thief maybe you want to go asura/human/sylvari.
I’ve never bought into the smaller model = less visible train of thought. I play a charr thief and don’t feel like I’m singled out any more than thieves usually are by other thieves or players hoping to get revenge on on a thief. In fact I often (or at least think I do) use this to my advantage…oh look the big dumb charr thief! I will start heading for a resource node, or randomly stop while using look behind…then bang —> infiltrators strike, c&d, 3s daze, dmg, ur dead with a big invisible cat stomping you.
I have however noticed that a lot more noob / casual players tend to pick the asura race and female medium classes in particular. An asura ranger or female human thief / ranger is almost always a free kill. If you see a fully leveled charr mesmer on the hand, run far and fast!

You know what I do get surprised by sometimes are Norn/Charr thieves/ele’s. Sometimes it takes a moment to adjust to them when you are used to them being wars/guards etc mostly.

I target rangers first and foremost. They are easily downed, and cause unnecessary damage and control. After rangers, I target Thieves, followed by Warriors. Those are normally downed easily enough, and can be a real threat if left unattended.
As for Race, I prioritize Norn>Charr>Sylvari>Human>Asura, if proximity allows that is. If the Norn is necessarily large, or the Charr unnecessarily ugly, I will go out of my way to kill them.
I also prioritize any players who look or play similar to any of my characters.
Guardian
Are you asking about the characters ‘hit-box circumference" ? If that’s what you’re getting at you are probably used to the disparity of that size from playing WoW. Since the circumference of the hitbox is quite a bit different for say a gnome to a Tauren. However that’s another game. afaik, there isn’t that much of a difference in GW2, or at least none that I’ve noted to any degree.
I think its abit of class and race combination, unless your a guardian or thief people target the closest large target first.
i dont regrett my charr thief but human and asuras have it easier imo.
The only downside to playing as a Charr or Norn is that it’s that little bit easier for your opponent to tell what attack you’re channelling from character animations than it is if you play as an Asura. But I don’t think the disparity in character model size creates that much of an issue otherwise.

I have norn guardian with biggest body type. I also feel I get targeted first most of the time.
[DKJ] – Jade Quarry
Low health target>squishy target>target with aoe>slow target>anything else. Talking about priority based on race/size in zerg clashes is just silly.
In 1 on 1 i can spare and don’t finish lone opponent, with exception of thieves and asuras, they are clearly made for “i wanna pwn in pvp lol” and deserve to die in any situation.
