Does ArenaNET care about wuvwuv?
do you think ArenaNET cares at all about wuvwuv or is this the price we pay for this being a b2p game instead of a subscription game..
Given every single subscription game I have ever played has had bugs, imbalances, problems, etc at this stage of their life (and when they introduce new content / mechanics and in fact long term when it comes to PvP) I don’t see how the payment model is an issue.
Any player expecting mass scale pvp to be anything other than a complete failure in any game ever should recognize it’s his own fault for having unrealistic expectations. I have been waiting 15 years. I am absolutely sure now beyond any doubt – it will never happen.
A month isn’t ‘a while’ in terms of an MMO getting everything fixed….

I could list a few games that did it alright, and one in specific that did it perfectly, and this game is having a relaunch in November. Not going to mention names since Arenanet doesn’t like people comparing games, but I will say that large scale has been done succesfully before.
Regarding Arenanet’s patch speed for WvW, yes, everyone I know noticed it, and is annoyed and concerned about it in terms of what it means for the future of the game.
My personal concern is that their code and/or game patching process is a mess which is why it takes them so long to fix anything besides minor changes. Their live team might be really small aswell, and they are focussed on PvE right now.

MrMagoo I disagree, wuvwuv is not failure.. there are just things that need fixing or tweaking but wuvwuv is INSANELY FUN and AMAZING
if you think it’s a failure, that’s on you
even if you lose the match.. there are battles and moments you remember and that alone makes it worthwhile
OP listen, I am trying not to sound horrible to you, but the topic has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen.
Of course the company that just spent millions of dollars, and years of their lives making CARES ABOUT AN IMPORTANT FEATURE OF THEIR GAME….
It’s been out a month not a “while” so just be patient…there is NO fee so you can leave if you want then come back when things are fixed….but as far as that question goes, that’s like us asking you “Do you think he asks stupid questions because banana?” It’s literally that mind boggling and makes about as much sense.
LoL… It has been a month.

Mr Magoo: EVE online.
I wouldn’t call their mass scale pvp a complete failure.
As to whether or not ArenaNet cares: I bet they care. The thing is it takes time to make changes that don’t negatively impact everything. You need to be careful to making any change.
We don’t know what is linked to the orb bonuses or the unmanned bonuses. Does either bonus make sense? No, they should be reversed but does that mean it is an “easy” fix on their end? We have no idea.
I don’t want them to just toss in changes without testing them.
I hope they dedicate some support staff to monitoring the WvWvW games so people who are hacking are caught / banned within ten minutes. The orb thing is crazy and should not be allowed to persist.
That needs to be taken care of immediately – if not through code by a human presence. And that is something that can be done quickly. ArenaNet just has to decide to dedicate the resources (people) to continually observe the WvW matches while they fix their end.

My post was 100% in reply to your actual topic of “Do they care”…

yeah it was a post full of sound and thunder, signifying nothing
curious how you feel regarding the speed of their patches, even the times they mention wuvwuv in their path notes/wiki to do list (do they even?), participation in this section of the forums besides locking threads
i mean i get it, you think they care.. but what’re your thoughts on the issues?
faster? sit back and just wait? faster response? maybe even mention the issues plaguing GW2?
what’re your thoughts besides flaming me, share that

Listen man, I am not getting into this with you.
To answer your original question, yes they do care, it doesn’t even take half a brain to answer that.
For everything else, unless you have run a multi million dollar MMO at launch then you really have no knowledge of what goes on in the background, what is happening at ANet HQ, and how the “speed of patches” should even be.
You don’t direct the designers, developers and artists so you really don’t know and frankly neither does any of the random people you are asking on the forums.
I can 100% Tell you for a fact that a solution is, give them feedback and if you are really upset leave the game for a bit…it sounds cliche but it really is a “if you don’t like it don’t play it” situation.
This is ANet’s train and they are driving, we just bought a ticket to ride along.
If you take someone calling you out as flaming then you are clearly in a position of “Agree with me or you are trolling”…

Hi,
Creating an uncontstructive thread like this one won’t bring any help neither to us nor to the players. We have nothing against exposure of any opinion, especially negative ones, but this has to be done in a constructive way.
This is the reason why I will close this thread.
Thanks for your understanding.
