If I build an alpha golem directly in front of an altar of power that holds an orb, will the golem defend the orb even if no player on its team is nearby?

I’ve built a couple of golems in hope that this is so; I only do this if the keep is already maxed out in improvements, there is no other siege equipment or improvements under construction, and the supply depot is flush.

If this is just a pointless waste of gold, let me know and I’ll find some other way to spend it.

No, the Golem is just a siege weapon which transforms a user. Without a pilot, it does nothing. It also will rot after thirty minutes of non-use.

Can’t tell if serious or trolling, either way, stop it your wasting supply.

However, it MAY actually make Quaggan lightning hit the Golem more often than the Altar of Power. Still, not worth the cash.
