Is it just me or is the reward track really based on damage for participation? It just seems that when I’m on siege my participation increases very quickly – far quicker than when I’m in normal combat, which is in turn much quicker than scouting or repairing.

I know participation has to use some kind of metric, but if it’s only damage then surely siege use becomes the most rewarding* play?

*rewarding in the sense of getting rewards not necessarily in the sense of being enjoyable or personally challenging.

If you mean using siege in the sense that you are doing damage to enemy structures and then capping stuff which will contribute more to progressing reward tracks. If you are repairing you dont always get event credit for it because the contested event could have already ended and you are just repairing whatever was leftover after the enemy left for example. And scouts can be put into a special slot in a squad so they can share participation.

I say what needs to be said, get used to it.

Well, arrow carts and such do a lot of damage and have a higher AOE cap, while it’s easier to get credit for destroying a door as opposed to pvdoor since the bulk of the damage (usually) comes from the ram.

If you’re firing siege into big groups, it’s only natural that your participation increases rapidly.

Repairing only gives credit when you have the contested event so you won’t get any unless you meet a commander and ask them to give you credit. I generally ask people who are scouts on the map to speak out if they care about such a thing- an 10 person squad can already offer 2 scout spots so there’s little reason to not use them.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,
for there you have been and there you will long to return.
