Its hard to tell hacking from expoiting, and, there is no option for expoiting at all. does “botting” means “hacking”? or “botting” is wrong and “hacking/cheating” is right?

after the update, “You can no longer view opponents’ account names through reporting in WvW”

does this mean that ss and videos of hacking or cheating could not prove anything anymore.

so, we cant report in game, we cant report in forum either. what can we do?

None like hackers and most likely someone from their team will report them people wanna win because their good not because of cheats.

I saw this when I was guarding garrison today, that is the inner watergate, i have no idea how this happened, and no, they were not illusion of mesmers.

Is this graphic error? is this hacking? what should I do with this ss?

Yea I found this change to be completely stupid. There now is officially no accountability at all for people exploiting, hacking, or just being alt-f4 trashcans.

All because 5 care bears somewhere couldn’t master the use of the block feature when they received unwanted tells.

Silly change IMO.

Well, many apparently want to win enough to cheat and use the effect of cheaters.
We saw that aplenty when Orbs where in the game and with people taking over keeps which were exploited.
Reducing the ways to report exploiters is just plain silly.

To me all this say’s is that they messed up big time and have been inundated with reports that they can not keep up.
But also there was a posting somewhere on this forum that screenshot the report someone had made that showed all the world whom this player was.
All this anonymity for Cheats, Botters ect’ really has to stop when will any game let alone a MMO take the lead to name and shame players, to prove that they are actually doing something about this and not just sitting at their desks on facebook all day.
Come on ArenaNet you have the clause in the CoC that allows you to do this, the simple wording of all content within the game remains the property of ArenaNet also covers user and account names.
We only pay for the right to use the game but the game itself namely the data and pixels remains the property of ArenaNet

You still can report them via in-game means. If you cant see their name it doesnt meant ANet cant too. The only downside is that you might get suspended for spamming reports (abusing report function) while unintentionally reporting same player.

How about teleport to tower lord room with thief skills or the secret path to hills lord room with only running and jumping? what kind of third party software they used? windows?

3 weeks ago, entire SoS players on BL reported one SoR thief cheater who stole the lord with bug. and 1 week later, we saw him again and trying to steal the same tower with the same bug.

then I posted the ss on forum, which helped, now? what can we do? what would Anet do? remove the lord?

Another issue with hiding the name is that we now cannot see whether the account is banned.
There were an account not so long ago that I saw mentioned on the forum over several weeks……. apparently ANet doesn’t want the public and player base to keep track of their actions, or lack of it.

I still think this move by ANet is silly.
I can only hope that world-members will report what they see from their own side and not turn a blind eye because they benefit from cheaters.

I think generally this is the case. The issue is of course that you are seldom there to see it, as they are cheating/exploiting the other servers, not their own.

And if you see a cheater, whom is not using a “third party software” , you cant even report, because there is no such option. any option u choose would be abusing. you might get banned.

So, what can you do? throw your keyboard away? delete the game? or what?
