So, after the Edge of the Mists reset I decided to go into edge of the mists to rack up some points for my WvWvW season 2 achievements (im on 14900 AP, and wanted to take this as an opportunity to get more points) BUT as I logged in I noticed that I got a chest unlocked. I clicked the chest and without reading I accepted the chest (The chest icon was alike the 15K achievement reward chest) I was startled, thinking I somehow got some more points….

As I clicked it I noticed I got 350 WvW tickets, a Swig of World XP and a Metabolic Primer. I also realised, by looking back to the chat that I got the “4th place WvW reward chest”

HOWEVER, we’re still in the last matchup week, and my server (Piken Square) is currently 5th in position, would we win this setup we’d be 3rd in position (we’re leaning to winning as of this point) Does this mean that this is a bug?

And if so, does this mean I will get my aditional 50 tickets if it is? I had the same thing happen to me when wardrobe got added, and I lost my beloved GW2 Launch Cap

I got this too, upon entering EOTM. (see my thread a bit further down the page) If it helps I spent most of the season on Jade Quarry, now on Sea of Sorrows.

Nice to see that you got 4th place, looks like if you win and the Gandara\Gunnar’s\FSP matchup stays the same all 3 of us that end up on 29 points will get the 2nd place chest.

Just have to hope that it hands one out for you at the end of the tourny too!

I did not enter WvW yet and will wait until the season is over.

Handy out rewards already is stupid, the season is not over. Besides that it is almost impossible for PS (also my server) to end in 4th place. Currently we are winning the match-up which means we will finish joined second (current situation with FSP and Gunnar’s) or 3th (if FSP and Gunnar’s switch places, which I expect).

There are only two ways PS can end in 4th place:

1. When Drakkar Lake will win our match-up and we end second. I don’t see that happen.
2. When Gandara end last in their match-up. Impossible, will never happen. After their second place last week they are not going to loose again from FSP, no way.

Handing out the wrong price would be a fitting end to a rather bad season. I liked playing some WvW, but the Swiss format did not work. The fact we (PS) had to loose the match-up from last week to not screw ourselves shows how awful this system worked.

Someone in my guild also got their chest early.

Pretty much sums up “Season 2” – poorly designed. Now to wait for “Season 3” and see if they try to rebrand failure for a second time.
