the main guilds in dragonbrand dont aim to be the best we are fine where ever we have good fight at. and we attract guilds because we have a solid asian community

We just have never needed one. With one of the strongest off hour presences why wouldn’t you want to come here.

How does a server as solid as DragonBrand not have someone selling it to transferring players? I haven’t seen a recruitment post for them. Is it just not their style, lack of a “master guild” or did I just miss it?

Not really our style. We have a lot of different guilds that all sorta do their own thing. They coordinate, but really, that’s one of the main reasons we’ve been successful: we’re more fluid than other servers.

As for recruitment specifically, we haven’t really needed to. We had some great guilds transfer to us without anybody asking them to and we are probably the only server in the top 3 tiers that has truly grown organically.

We welcome people to join us, but we honestly feel that actions speak louder than words. If they join us, it’s because they want to join US, not because they really want to win (though we always show up and make opponents work hard).

Though thanks to [EA], we do have the best score updates on the forums.

With one day left what else is there to say??

Well since paid transfers start..today lol, I guess my 2 cents doesn’t matter. But basically these guys hit it on the nose. We as a server just like to have fun. Recruiting only gathers bandwagoners. With no recruiting we have gathered the guilds that are in it for more then just winning. As a result we have a strong community and our play isn’t to shabby either

As a homegrown Dragonbrander, I don’t want to see other servers suffer the same fate we did when a large number of guilds transferred off about 2 months ago- no one should have to suffer the fate of getting smashed in WvW for a month straight. So while I would love to put up a parody of the 1-800-CONTACTS commercial, I’m not about to try and steal players from other servers.

Besides, I get the feeling that the DB just doesn’t want people whose sole focus is to win. We have a polite and fun atmosphere in map/team chats, why would we want to ruin that for an extra guild or two?

I have to say dragonbrand is a great server to fight against, put up a really good fight without all the trolling I’ve seen against other servers. If your loyal and you don’t want to come to FA I highly recommend them. Sorry had to mention FA lol

Where are the old school DB players at now? Alot of the old school Mags players are in [DEQP] (dunno why this is censored. Q = R). So if you see that tag, its one of the people from the the days of the t4 Sea of Sorrows match.

Would be cool if all the old school DB guys could make a guild for the day one players and then we can meet up on Friday before reset and drop a roast pig + shoot the breeze about the old days.

We don’t recruit because we know the pain of having fair-weather guild on our server.

Depends on what you mean by “Old School DB”. Most of us who are here have been since launch. If you mean those who left us, pretty sure you will find the majority in Sea of Sorrows.

I think I’ve seen two recruitment threads for DB since paid transfers were announced.
But they didn’t receive a lot of attention and were’n fantastically formed.

With that said, I’m happy we don’t recruit.
We welcome anyone who wants to join, but they make that decision without our interference.
