Hi guys, I wanna know if you can help me to chose a class that I should reroll to play with my friend. He is playing a mesmer.

We want to do WVW together, kill some people and have fun. But I am wondering if you guys can help me.

I really don’t know wich class can be good pair with a mesmer. I tought about guardian or ranger. But I want something with high survability and mobility. (I don’t wanna play rogue, I know it is probably the best class for solo/duo, but I hate it)

Thief.

Mesmers suffer from poor out-of-combat mobility. It would be great if the partner could grant Swiftness boon. Thieves don’t have easy way to grant Swiftness (or thieves I have come across are just too self centered).

As thief+mesmer you can play hide&seek in keeps that everybody loves.

As thief you can escape out-numbered situations, leaving the mesmer partner to die and come back to revive a minute later after the dust settles.

Engineer, you are able to have a similar speed to most mesmers so you can stick with your friend and both have incredible utility, burst and CC. The other one would be a d/d elementalist.

I find a condi Mesmer works incredibly well alongside my crit damage burst Mesmer!
D/D ele’s are far too counterable these days.. a kits engi does a great job as partner too.

And what about guardian ?

Another mesmer. Same race, guild, armor style and dye. We do that and it works great. Sometimes people rage and complain that a mesmer popped 7 clones…..

Had a guy threaten to report me before when I was roaming with my condi mesmer friend.. everything except the weapons were the same, even wvw rank title
