EOTM Bad map design
EOTM is a bad map design mainly due to the fact that you are constantly feared, launched, or knockback’ed off the edge. if you are not near the edge you are constantly hammered by hammer warrior’s or by a zerg in general. suggestions is either remove the ability to fear players off or grant a stability buff.
I totally agree with you. Whenever I faced a mesmer, all they do is suddenly run and go invisible, then use GS 5 to push me off the bridge… It is VERY LAME design.

Also remove the armor breaking mechanic when knocked off. The kodan buff is like what im suggesting, a allways on buff that requires badges of honor to use, one that grants stability.
If you remove the broken armor on death,thn whats holding people back from just launching themselves into the abyss whenever they meet someone they dont wanna fight ? Giving people a stabi buff would be horrible for people with a stunlock build,it would Force them to go another way.How would you like it as a nec for examp,that people would get a condi immunity buff…. ?

People dying because they get knocked off is just you losing a fight. And yes it is only you and you and you. Nothing to do with the map design. Most pushbacks/pulls can be dodged. So it is your own fault if you fall off.
But why not, let’s make this game easier. Let us make it so easy you don’t need skill at all. Give perma stability because using that dodge key is so dam hard.

I think you’re going to find that opinions on maps, including EotM, vary a great deal. Personally I would probably agree that the current map has its pitfalls (literally), but it’s an entirely subjective thing after all.
The good news is that whatever you think about EotM, A.net has, if nothing else, created a very good beta testing environment for new mechanics – including new maps. They can roll out new content in EotM, whatever it may be, and evaluate its effects and get feedback from players before introducing it in WvW. So if you don’t like the current incarnation of EotM, it’s worth keeping in mind that there’s an inherently greater potential for change, as there’s really no reason to be conservative about the format. No one says EotM has to be just one map, with one set of mechanics.

Good map. It’s hilarious actually defend in EotM. You can almost smell how desperate they want their two champ bags and empyreal fragments.

Nope, the only CC I bring when roaming EOTM is to keep my enemy close to me, not away from me. In other words snares and slows. Played 150 hours+ in EOTM and got pulled off my a mesmer ones and shot off by a ranger ones. That is all.
It really is only skill and positioning.
ps.: I sometimes play on my engi, not having stability or a stunbreaker
