EOTM and the skill gap
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
I hear there are a lot of champions in EotM, so I am interested in how the PVEers and the WvWers mix, if at all. Will a green zerg crush a blue champion train?
Will this bring PVE players into WvW again? How will it affect low tier populations? I have a lot of questions, too.
Top tier servers are there because of coverage, not because of skill. Please don’t forget that?
Otherwise, all blue servers will be teamed together against all red servers, against all green servers. Where you come from should have little impact on results. Players from the lower tiers may have some better roaming skills but from the looks of the EoTM map, that won’t mean much.
Are there really so many thieves on lower tiers?

I think it largely depends on how easy it will be for coordinated groups to end up in the same overflow. This will be the determining factor on whether WvW players or PvE players dominate the flow of this map, and who dominates the flow of this map is what will determine who stays around and for how long.
It may end up that several instances of the map are WvW dominated while the rest are uncoordinated PvE’ers, and the play will be hugely different depending on which one you land in.

No that was a troll post I am certain…I have seen many more thieves and mesmers “roaming” on higher tiers than lower ones.
Same reason that every fightnight or duel in OS is full of thieves and mesmers in higher tiers (and some in lower/mids), people like using stealth as a crutch and in turn believe that means they are “roamers”.

Lower tiers tend to specialize in roaming since the population numbers do not favor zerging as mcuh and those tiers tend to have a lot more small scale fighting. Many if not most builds in the mid to bottom tiers are not group based builds. Even the class mixtures tend to favor more solo friendly classes.
Roamers in the bottom tiers (frequently thieves and mesmers classes) are very potent in my experience after spending a considerable amount of time in T3-T7. I think the constant solo fights presented in the bottom and mid tiers has created some excellent small group fighters.
I haven’t had exposure to T1 solo fighters so I am curious if they are as good on average. I am sure every server has excellent fighters across the spectrum but environmental factors such as population have likely honed different play styles.

I’d guess it’s the same bell curve on every server just more people servers have more people and so you have more people at the higher ends of the bell curve. So I would guess that it most likely that the best and worst players are on the most populated server.
You can say what you like about people on the small servers but I don’t see why people like that aren’t on the high tier servers as well. Just there’s people other than that as well.
