The design team overlooked something vitally important in EOTM… ambient creatures to kill so necromancers can build up their death shroud.

This is especially important when a necromancer dies and their death shroud is completely depleted. There is nothing to build it up with until you get into the middle of a pitched battle.

So give us some ambient creatures in the spawn area so we don’t go in to battle handicapped.

And, it’s harder to get stacks now. I don’t even run my bloodlust weapon when in EotM.
It’s great for my mesmer, though. When I dodge and it spawns a clone, the clone attacks an enemy, not a deer.

yay thieves cant get a free escape w/ cnd
yay eles dont have extra targets to help them run away w/ rtl
yay guardians cant use gap closer blinks as escapes
yay autotargeting doesnt select targets i dont want when someone spams stealth

so many good things when theres no creaturez around!

I’ve been asking for this in sPvP since release.

yay thieves cant get a free escape w/ cnd
yay eles dont have extra targets to help them run away w/ rtl
yay guardians cant use gap closer blinks as escapes
yay autotargeting doesnt select targets i dont want when someone spams stealth

none of which applies to ambient creatures in spawn.

I want trash mobs in EotM as well. I like grinding mobs in between fights…and killing other players farming npcs.

Trash mobs never belonged in WvW. The idea that you could get “stacks” without actually fighting anyone I don’t think was how the skills were balanced.

I’m all for removing them in WvW too.

I like that there are no creatures cluttering up the place, wish theyd remove them from WvW aswell.

If a class has a problem with his class mechanic the solution should never be “just throw down more creature clutter”.

Toggling Auto-target to off also stops you from randomly targetting.
Just a heads up doe.

if you need quick life force then just summon your minions and kill them off by switching the skill while they are running around…this should at least help you and fellow necromancers around you a bit

when faced with the choice to push 1 to target or to push tab/click and then push 1 anyways, in most cases autotarget is better. especially cuz i play a class whos gap closer escape doesnt point you in your targets direction. i end up turning off autotarget when i play war/guard/ele. thanks for the advice tho. im sure itll help someone else!

Just a little tip for fellow Necromancers – when you run, animate some shadow fiends/bone fiends etc. and once you raise them, swap utility to regular one. You’ll get 10% LF for each one and it won’t put your regular utility on cd unless you use minion active.
