EOTM - red keep design
Actually, EotM was ANET’s vision for the future of WvW. They didn’t take into account the feedback from players and wanted to show the community the right way to do it. Unfortunately, EotM did turn out to be nothing more than an unbalanced karma train.
My hope is that ANET has learned from their mistake and will take future CDI comments more seriously. Supposedly there is new WvW leadership now. If true, that would be a great move since the previous leader was a bit stubborn when it came to outside ideas.
But this one is really easy to fix: make the walls indestructible. It’s not even a bug that needs to be tracked down and tested. Literally a deal of changing several strings from 1 to 0.
Unless karma trains were intentional.
Yeah, it was questioned before… Why Arid Fortress is the only keep that have inner breakable walls? Like workshop nearby wasn’t trouble enough… But at least if we know where to focus defenses, red team can have a better chance to hold it’s keep like green and blue.

Perhaps the logic was that Red side has access to an infinite number of mobile siege units, and can easily and quickly take out walls or keep. To balance that, they made the Keep vulnerable to its own attacks. A high risk / high reward scenario.
Though let’s be honest, the only time Workshop siege is used, is to take the Red Keep…and maybe a tower or two if the Commander is feeling bold or adventurous.

on the other hand, other games have really suffered from listening too much to player opinions(diablo 3) i’d rather leave 90% of it up to the experts. sometimes those experts are players too, most of the time they aren’t. EOTM is an incredibly dumbed down version of wvw i’m just hoping they don’t make it any easier. sieges in wvw can take a very long time when people are defending an objective, whereas the longest i’ve seen something last in EOTM is about five minutes when under siege.
