In EU Gold league we have a winner, two joint second place servers and two joint fourth place servers. From what I can see that means the two servers who should be in joint third have been cheated out of a bronze placing.

This simply isn’t fair, especially if there is a joint silver.

Please can the EU gold league situation be looked at and reconsidered as currently its upsetting a lot of people who worked very hard for that third place recognition.

It’s always like this if a tie apear in any competition, if there is 2 second there is no 3rd.

This works like real life sports. If there is a tie in the ranking the next rank is skipped. In this case no 3rd and 5th.

Yeah as said above, this is how it typically works in tournaments. Just because two teams tie it doesn’t mean the next ranked team automatically moves up a spot. This includes the Olympics by the way. If two competitors receive a gold medal, there is no silver medal awarded, and the 3rd place competitor receives a bronze medal. 4th place gets a set of steak knives.

Eh, I’m inclined to agree with the OP. Probably because I’m on one of those servers in third/fourth spot and I know my server (Piken) had one of the hardest matchups in the leagues. Felt we kind of deserved third … and it didn’t take anything away from any other server — and we’d have shared it with BB.

For all the junk they’re giving out in the chests is it really a big disappointment? Nothing permanent at all that is “special”… >shrugs<

I think this season everyone was just a loser wherever they ended up in the league rankings :P

count the number of servers with strictly more points than you and see it’s 3 servers that are strictly better, so you are 4th, lol. Doesn’t matter if they are tied or not.
(same for olympics btw if there are 2 silver medals, there will be no bronze)

Unfortunatly, that’s just how it has to be. I’m from Piken and we have no one to blame but ourselves. That week we ended up in last was just unforgivable.

Perhaps you should take the advice of your sig line.

I don’t think this was an issue of whether we should’ve got third or not. However, like I did mention at another post. The matchups were just not logical, and from looking at the EU matchups, it certainly favoured other servers, for an example the fact that Piken had to face Vizunah three times and SFR only had to face them first and last. Does that make any sense?
