That’s basically my point. I’m all for guilds moving servers to give them better coverage, but I really wish they would just move and not try to get a bunch of other people to move with them at the same time. This way the server gains a steady improvement in performance rather than a huge boost that leads to unbalanced matches for weeks. You can see the evidence of the latter in the last two week’s match ups as the ranking system tried to balance out ET/HOD losing their WvWvW populations and SoR/SoS/BG gaining a significant amount.

Close. We’re a mixed EU guild (almost every EU country is represented!) and have members from Canada, Israel, and S.Africa too. We’re not looking at taking as many as possible – merely a night shift that can coordinate an effective defense of the territory taken during prime time.

Again close. We initiated some contact with the Italian alliance upon arriving in the server (some weeks back). They were in the start up stages and seemed fairly focused. Without turning this into a flaming session they had other ideas about the running of an alliance, their position and how guilds should participate. This has led to the ongoing in-fighting on the server and is essentially why Whiteside ridge is failing to hit it’s full potential. Their typical “bio-ball”, zerg focused approach wasn’t to our liking and they didn’t like our more tactical role as such we were just a bad fit for one another.

We’re an EU guild who are considering a move to Fort Aspenwood (the US server) to provide a tactical presence in their WvW during non-NA prime time.

In short, we’re 150 strong – whilst that can make a difference we are looking for other EU/Oceanic guilds that are considering a similar move OR members to join us in this quest.

-A guild leader/officer who is already considering this
-One of the above who would propose this to your guild
OR
-An EU player who is interested in joining The Asgards[Asg] to assist us in providing this night shift.

Would welcome (educated) opinions and ideas below and will happily respond to PMs or replies here should you be interested.

As a brief rundown I’ve moved across as a “scouting party” and have been in contact with guild leaders from the NA prime time active WvW guilds. So far the response has been encouraging and the WvW scores are reflective of the servers dedication to a coordinated effort. The map paints an amazing picture during prime-time however as they openly admit they have a limited non-NA prime time presence. In my opinion this server has everything it takes to go up a couple of tiers IF they get the right level of support in these times.

I’m proud to announce that FA has held between +300 and +600 PPT all day despite starting the day 100k down.

Would be funny if we beat SoS again, lol. After they got all their transfers toward the end of our match many weeks ago, I never thought we’d see them again. We’ll still need to recruit more for that to happen though. Being competitive in Tier 3 is a higher priority.

You’re sorely mistaken. We field 20+ in WvW several times a week. All on mumble and organized. (at this exact time we got 13 members in WvW.)

That we do not do Zergs like you seem to want, seems to be the real reason you didn’t want to work with us. (We often do small hit & runs; taking supply camps, towers etc, and moving on w/o announcing it on map, to avoid a big following.)

If you think we took 2 supply camps per week, you’re way off target. But we don’t usually spend time on forums to brag about our victories. We move and fight quiet – I guess you really have no idea, what we actually won/took

No big loss tbh. FA is alot better organized, than you guys will probably ever be, and our role in WvW seem to be appreciated here too.

So, good luck to Whiteside Ridge – you will need it, if you don’t adapt another attitude. An alliance that appears to base itself purely on zerging (and mediocre commanders at best), and make demands instead of requests can lose without even fighting

I wish SF could get some night coverage. Some nights, we’ll literately have less than 10 players on in a zone. Then only 3 will show up to defend our wonderful fully upgraded keep as it is torn down. It demoralizes our day crew when they log on and find their money and effort has gone to waste.

Not to mention I play mostly at night…

ATm the Pact is begin to workin well.

The allied guilds begin to have some feeling eac others and now we can cover all the borderlands for all the evening (8:00 pm cet to 1.00 am cet)

You speak about thing you dont know cuz you were never on WvW. I only saw a ppl of your spamming for recruit but nothing else.

I dont spam my victories i use these forums very a few, i prefer the action.

This week with RoF and Dzago was a great fun. And we have played well with good tactics like decoys or diversive attacks.

But you dont have justify why you left.
You wanna easy win, is your right and your choiche.

I’ll quickly interject as an FA’er, I don’t know what goes on with Whiteside, but we are very happy with the Asgard’s presence on Fort Aspenwood. I haven’t been around too much this week, but I’ve heard from members of the FA guild PRO that the Asgards are skilled and very disciplined and therefore a most welcome addition.

It is nice to see other EU guilds moving to NA servers, though I would love to see the top 6 servers getting 24/7 coverage, before stacking up lower tier servers.

In my experience FA doesnt have what it takes to become a consistent top6 server, even with 1 or 2 EU guilds.

So. I dont want to know the reason which has made you switch server. Only speak for you and dont for an entire server judging thing you cant know. You were never in WvW how can you say we are a zerg bio-ball?

Is sad when u were on WR never seen 20-25 ASG on field. Maybe the NA air make you better. I advice all FA guild dont take seriously this guild. They are good in talking, but very very poor in facts. The evidence is you were invited away by a really “noob” alliance like the “Whiteside Pact” for a principally reason: No Show.

Im on Gandara, and we have no night crew in this EU server, yet i keep on waiting for some miracle that some US ppl would move to our server because we will never go up on ranking like this. The rank itself its not what bothers me, its the deception of knowing that soon other server will just zerg everything we buit and upgraded without having any problems to get it and that took us so much time to build.
Matches like this are not fun, we keep on fighting for nothing anymore when we so far away from 2nd place, but our numbers ofc decrease alot.
I would do the same as this guild and move to an US server, but here is the problem, will the guilds that face FA has a night crew that u will have good matchups? or u will just zerg and night cap too? cause if that is so, no fun too i think.
And i would choose a lower rank server, FA is atm top 10, so i would assume they are not that bad in night crew. While u have 150 members, a lower ranked server would need u more and benefit more from a night crew.
So, makes me kinda sad, if i imagine any US server that would like to go to a EU server to have better matchups would prefer to go to Desolation, Blacktide, Seafarers Rest or Far Shiverpeaks, so my server would never be chosen cause its not top 10.
So in my opinion, the server ur leaving will miss ur presence and the server ur joining u will be just few numbers more. And that will make no big difference.

Also, im sry but isnt very polite to discuss gramatic and english when ppl are trying to expose their ideas, and thats nothing to do with what is the issue here.

Your assumptions about FA are not correct. We have some good people on at night and morning (which is when EU primetime is from our perspective), but WvW is primarily a numbers game and with that in mind, we are terrible outside of primetime. We will have the map taken from us by lower tier servers like Dragonband. The only reason we are able to not sink to lower tiers is because our primetime crew beats theirs. It isn’t fun only participating in blowout matches one way or the other so we needed to recruit to be competitive with Tier 3 servers that we can compete in primetime but not off-peak. We very much appreciate our new transfers.

If any EU players really want competition on US., you can check Sanctum of Rall. hell, any of the top 6 servers in US you will find decent forces to fight against. I say Sanctum of Rall because Sea of Sorrows is the unofficial oceanic server on NA side, and they can cover 3 maps easily during the night of NA, leaving a huge presence issue for Sanctum.

@ Lyan – as Arcadio said, we have very little night and early morning presence. The reason we’ve maintained our position is due to our great N/A primetime force. There are no late night, overnight, early morning queues (barely even a couple warm bodies until these recent transfers) and N/A primetime queues usually only in within a few days of reset. We will still need more EU transfers so if you’re interested in joining a competitive and welcoming server send me a PM and I can get you in contact with some FA guild leaders.

Sanctum of Rall is a great server, but I would not advise that transfer based on your comments as it’s already an EU-centric N/A server so you would just be one among many there.

Maybe you never saw us because we do not want to be seen? And since the ‘alliance’ is all about zerging; you wouldn’t see us. Avoiding zergs are our main priority

PS. Your ignorance of what we actually did in WvW, just confirms that our decission to leave was a good one. WR got many commanders, but few clues.

Its understandable that you didn’t want to be a part of a zerg, but being allianced with them you should keep in touch especially during the battle, because truth is you CAN’T win without a zerg. Coordination with small scale forces taking camps would’ve really provided input as well as your scouting knowledge while going on ahead of the zerg. Also what did you expect from being in a big alliance anyways? 20 small scale teams just taking out camps?

I would not feel bad for anyone just yet. As someone who hops on late into the night on occasion I can say that although the transfers we have received have helped, I do not think that we have the same overnight numbers as TC and YB just yet. Should see some great battle raging around the clock this time around all the same.

Actually we at Yak’s Bend were already expecting to be bumped back down to T4 after next week, with CD bumped back up. The fact that FA is getting more EU players doesn’t change much for us, they already beat us into the ground without more off peak players. CD and Yaks will be a yoyo for now, which is great because I think we are more or less equal servers right now.
