Hey guys and dear A-Net.
Everyone (hopefully) know it needs time until the matchups become equal, but serverhopping is still huge problem that cause more unbalance matchups in next weeks.
At the moment FSP is linked with Vabbi, but player of Vabbi left their server to move to Desolation or RoS (partner of Deso) or to any another server (Gandara, FoW, Piken).
It feels like the linking system is not working like intended. People bandowagner/stack to 1 or 2 server with or without linking system..it’s still big issue.
Until the gems prizes don’t become higher for the linked server , or hoster and linked partner aren’t closed for 2-3 weeks – it needs much more time until the matchups become equal.

Its too easy (and cheap) to switch to a lower tier server just to be with the higher ones. You can pay what? 100g to move every few months just to stack with the winning server? Yeah that probably needs to be addressed. However, I think if it was a huge problem, it would have been adjusted already. Internally, they might not be seeing that many people constantly making the switch so they haven’t acted on it….yet.
Same happened for you guys though. Gunnar’s Hold got a link with Underworld and about 2 guilds left Underworld for FSP so it works in multiple directions.

I wouldn’t deny that. That’s why i say – we need something to prevent. Or the Matchups in EU become never equal in all Tiers in 2-3 weeks. ^^
Might be totally wrong. Who knows.
I wouldn’t be complaining if I were you. FSP has been the benefactor of multiple guild transfers over the past month.
I am not complaining as FSP member or for FSP. Just pointed my finger on the problem what i see (look topic title). FSP is just example, but spoken in general
Number One server in the EU usually get’s bandwagoned hard, not really much you can do about that, without tighter Population control. Funny how someone actually said Deso, does not accumulate the most points @ night. http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/15/404
Who cares about WvW Competitively in terms of PPT anymore, just enjoy the fights and hope for no lag. :p

That kind of issue certainly will occur when all the servers are opened up. This then lead to severe unbalance issue. I wonder if people are regretting their decisions on the vote for interval relink.
I remember all those arguments from people saying guilds are the saving grace of wvw and some even suggested it should be guild based.
In reality, guilds are mainly the problem, as they hop from one server to another saying they are looking for better fights but in reality just want to bandwagon somewhere.
Would be interesting to see some stats on guild transfers and their affect on match ups in the top 3 tiers on EU.
I know quite a few have left SFR (one complained about not having enough ‘quality pugs’ on SFR, which made me laugh) and I’m seeing a lot more pugs who don’t even join the comm squad or get on ts or even use food and run at the first sign of trouble, so I guess we’re getting more pve players in wvw. Self fulfilling prophecy for the bigger guilds, as they tend to drag along some professional pugs with them when they move then comms get frustrated at the lack of a core and a server slowly falls apart.
On the other hand, wiping twice our number with a group made entirely of pugs is still a lot of fun as it seems we’re not the only server that has a lot of pve specs running around:-)
The flaw in wvw is too many maps and not enough opponents. Imagine a 5 way map (4 corners and top team from last week gets the middle areas), five teams of 100 and a hard cap on squad numbers at 50, and you have to join a squad (so you can run multiple squads, but two squads cannot double team from the same side.). That could be seriously complicated tactics wise but also great fun.

Actually, what you just said just proves that WvW guilds make the WvW Even if you don’t like it, WvW is based on WvW guilds and famous pugmanders.
