Hello,

I have decided to move from EU and join my NZ/AUS/US buddies in NA. Now before I do that I am looking for a server who has plenty of NZ/AUS/US players, also a decent guild.

I am not looking to join Black Gate at the moment as that would be my last option, but I am also looking primarily for NZ/AUS guild.

I have commanded in Desolation server normally GMT +12 (as i’m from NZ). I speak fluent English and have TS3/Microphone.

I am also an expert in PvE/PvP but that doesn’t really count does it.

I’m open to suggestions on the type of server (particularly one that is growing and puts effort into weekly fights)

Thank You.

Chilli.

Well, if you want to be be another brick in the wall SoS is definitely the choice. If however you want to make a huge difference- SoR. We pretty much dominate our time zone but need coverage. Even without coverage we have moved up 5-6 spots in 2 months. We are the phoenix rising server. There is zero drama here and your guild would have a huge impact. Where ever you go good luck to you. I played UO on the Oceanic server back in the days and think you guys are great.

SoR FTW

If you’re looking for fights between large, organized groups, don’t look beyond T1 (JQ and TC have guilds running during this time, if you’re not willing to consider BG.) Most tiers below have nominal OCX coverage or have one server stacked much more than the others leading to zombie horde ktrains.

JQ has OCX/SEA guilds such as [KA] or [MERC] which are certainly worth consideration.

-If what you are looking for is balanced, populated matchups on both sides, I think tier 1 is your only home.
-Tier 2 is fairly balanced, however there are 4 of those servers, so one of them drops down to t3 and has no fun since t3 servers don’t really field OCX.
-SoS has lost a LOT of their OCX coverage and would probably be even with the t3 servers if they weren’t so demoralized.
-I play on NSP, and our OCX is mainly NA players. I’ve been commanding lately in that time zone, and it’s actually pretty fun sometimes. It beats playing with the blobs I see in NA primetime.
-Below t1/2, DH is the best server for OCX presence as far as I know. However, outnumbering people is almost as bad as being outnumbered, since you won’t have anyone to fight.

So if you are looking for the server to carry you and win just based on population, join YB/DB/FA/DH. If you are looking for huge relatively even fights, join BG/TC/JQ. If you are looking for a stable, well built community and some crazy funtimes, but a chance at being outnumbered, join NSP.

I would say Sea of Sorrows.

You’d fit in well.

I have played on SoS since launch & it has been a great server & has a bright future ahead. (Welcome back brutha! You know who you are.) Being a kiwi myself, i can’t say i regret SoS as my home server for me & my guild. It has been quite stable & solid throughout. Will be our home until the lights go out.

Although I’d love to welcome you to Dragonbrand, I can’t. Jade Quarry, Blackgate, and Dragonbrand are all full right now. You can’t transfer in to them.

It’s a shame you aren’t considering BG
[DAWN] currently has a number of active Kiwi’s, including myself.

If you mainly want to play for WvW, I wouldn’t recommend SoS, whilst it historically was the unofficial oceanic server, the majority of the organized oceanic WvW guilds are no longer there, and you will mostly be facing doors outside of T1.

Tier 1 definitely offers the most consistent action during Oceanic and SEA hands down.

If not considering Beastgate, then JQ or TC are a likely fit. I’d recommend TC over JQ, as they could use oceanic commanders. JQ would currently have the largest active WvW oceanic population.

I’ll leave this here anyway

Or if you join [DAWN]?

It’s not like you guys are well known for being a good fighting guild.

You might be interested in FA, they have a guild based there called uA (Unreal Aussies), I believe its PvX, but you might find it a good social fit. BG does have a good amount of aussies, SoS has been losing a good amount of their OCX/SEA players, DB has a good pop during that timezone but also full as well as JQ.

I say what needs to be said, get used to it.

Hello Chilli,

I am on NA T2 server (YB) and during OCX/early SEA we have plenty of fights going on in our tier. We have plenty of PuGs during this timezone and an additional commander to help them will greatly benefit us. For guilds, you may want to browse through our community forum: yaks-bend.com for more information.

Good luck!

Thank you all for your suggestions in which sever I should join. Since I can’t join any T1 servers I have decided to join FA.

See you in the battlefield.
