Like we know free transfers will be close from 28.01, many players still think about move also guilds. At forum is few posts about EU servers recruiting.

I think is good idea to create Topic where all new alliances and servers which build communities can post updated information about current stage. So players can easily see where to go.

nice thread. I would like to speak for SFR because we really need some guilds to be able to beat vizunah in the future. Besides its easy to transfer to us because of medium population.
But i guess somebody else should present SFR (maybe some commander) because im just a random wvwvwler and i dont want to speak for the whole server

Ring of Fire has never been the victim of mass transfers, so we are one of the few servers with a very stable community.

We do not want to become a server that steamrolls everything simply due to a sheer numbers advantage.

So we seek mid-sized guilds interested in making Ring of Fire their permanent home and joining ou forces to have meaningful and fun fights and hum our national anthem with us on TS.

Speaking from Gunnar’s Hold here, using this place to ‘warn’ any potential newcomers.

GH is currently dominating in an unbalanced matchup in t8 due to some transfers we’ve already had, and will be moving up to a firm position in t7 (and still no queues). We’ll see how it goes, but… no one really cares, tier-wise.
We do not play for numbers. Not for tiers, not for seeing our ‘beloved and proud server’ ‘crushing enemies under our heels’. We play for fun – fun from organising ourselves, fun from more even matchups, fun from GvG events (CHvc & NP know what i’m talking about), fun from organising dancing parties in EB with our enemies (hello, Aurora Glade!). I’m not saying that seeing the server grow in ‘power’ and advance in tiers is a bad thing; it simply isn’t something we value or hold dear.
We do not aim to be ‘number 1’ or anything like that. All we want from WvW is nice fights, fun nights and some even action, and we all hope it soon will come as we find our new spot in the tiers, all finished with a post-matchup meeting with our opponents in our server mumble.

We are open to all and any newcomers, but if you expect us to pull insane numbers just to crunch points in WvW to get into higher tiers, we’re not the place for you.
We strive to create and maintain a sound PvX community, organising server-wide events in PvE and planning stuff together in WvW. As such, we do not have any particular ‘alliance’ around, and no specific guilds you should talk with as representatives of the whole server. We are the server, or at least try to be, pulling everyone together.

I’d like to emphasise this one bit: we’re not aiming high for WvW, we’re hoping for fun matchups and competitive play rather than rising up to high tiers just for some kind of prestige. As such, we’re neither a good option for ‘super pro PvP guilds’ that would expect the server to follow them into WvW each and every night (in fact, there are no leaders or people dictating what the server must do, and we certainly don’t want newcoming dictators), as well as we’re not a place for folks hoping to see high points in WvW for the bonuses, aka bandwagoners, as it’s not something we’re paying much attention to.

I would just want to add that IF we got new people from GMT+8 to GMT+12 our coverage would be pretty kitten solid as we are a powerfull EU GMT+0 primetime with strong coverage earlier on by russian Xaoc

Due the free transfers closure on 28.01.13, a lot of players and guilds are wondering which server to move and, of course, if move. Well, if you are a WvWvW player or you have a WvWvW focused guild, we are talking to you!
- Do you play in a low-level server that doesn’t has enough WvWvW players to get the next tier?
- Do you play on a server that could eventually be closed and merged with another server?
- Do you play on the server that doesn’t have, or give, what you expected from WvWvW?

Well. I was mailed this thread but I’m not exactly sure if I should post on it.. I am European but I fight in a NA server.. Because like anyone who played GW1 knows.. The American community is ridiculously active..

Playing on an NA server (as opposed to Far Shiverpeaks our EU sister server) is amazingly rewarding for anyone hitting up the European timezones.

Information about alliance:
Our server alliance, The Northern Assembly, is a host of Guilds coming together for a common cause. However, our alliance extends to the entire server & not just those within TNA. We help rally the population of our Far Shiverpeaks brethren into a co-operative force. With weekly Server meetings, monthly alliance meetings, & regularly held events by everyone inbetween. We also have a Commanders guild on-top of this to assure fast & efficient communication between them.

Guilds on server:
RL, eMoa, TG, GoT, DIE, lion, DW, VMGR, WoTU, AoA, TLDR, BloS, GUM, ENT, OED, MA, SGW, aFGM, RoP, RtR, TC. There are many many more guilds than I am able to list, but these are just a few that use the Servers forums.

Which time frame need more players:
During prime-time, we have short queue’s in at least 2-3 of of our borderlands (5-10 minutes). So are generally open to Guilds from all time-zones to help us fill in the remaining gaps. Our base time-zone is CET.

Goal as server in future:
- Come together to create a common WvW-destiny.
- Create common overall goals in WvW.
- Work together towards these goals with whatever force necessary.
- Agree on a common platform to communicate and plan WvW, even on top of what communication tools the GW2 game offers if necessary.

Far Shiverpeaks

The little engine that could. When you think you can and know you can, you can!

The past 13 weeks have been a rough ride for us here on Far Shiverpeaks. It started with our beloved Russian mob leaving us for greener pastures. Following them were a few other guilds, and a few more, and then a few more. But not everyone ended up leaving Far Shiverpeaks for another server. Some of us stayed behind.

Those who left told us WvW was dead, they told us we’d never go anywhere. I knew we could, we knew we could. Not only that we could, but that we would.

“You are in Tier 7? you might say. Yes we are, and kitten proud of it. For the past 6 weeks we’ve had a weekly meeting discussing our strengths and our differences. For the past 6 weeks we have stabilized. For the past 6 weeks we have showed ourselves that we can do it.

Together we figured out how we can gel together. The gelling process is still ongoing and we are not planning to stop fighting any time soon.

In a few days paid transfers are coming, before then you have to know if you’re staying or going. We do not even know yet what the big WvW patch brings; What we do know is that the Far Shiverpeakians are a strong breed, and we welcome you to join us.

There are a variety of reasons that users/guilds may change to other Servers. In the event of these advertisements that you can see above, servers are looking to invite more guilds to their server for the sake of WvW. If you get a guild that wants to do a lot of WvW, but the servers populace offers very little community on the WvW side of things. It would make sense for them to consider moving to a server that does have an active WvW community.

It also isn’t uncommon for high tier guilds to move to lower tier servers, & lower tier guilds moving to high tier servers for a change in style of WvW play. So servers will advertise themselves in hopes of routing some of these transferring guilds their way to help their server perform better.
