After 16.03 patch the lag at WvW was real – not just some after patch lag, i had 9k ping. And when someone say it is my connection, 20 of my guildmates had same issue. FIX IT ANET, FIX and give stability back. EU servers

another patch and another time, wvw is broken to pieces. just rage quitted from eb where the map chat was full of ppl reporting same issues with normal ping (from what options now say). its not only skill lag like hell, also seeing ppl ‘stuttering’ around. im done with this kitten, spent a decent amount of money in your beloved gem store but this.. srsly, skill lag was already breaking the fun so often but ppl still kept playing, thats how much they love wvw fights, but now its kittening unplayable. GG have fun in pve and trying to get your pvp esport popular while ignoring gvg scene with more ppl watching it on twitch. this is just frustrating without end, you done kittened it up…

They aren’t just ignoring GvG they just destroyed the current norm of it.

The patch pretty much broke WvW lol. Wouldnt surprise me the slightest if the new stability make the already existing lag from the last 2 patches worse.

We also encountered weird issues with complete desync – people just dying from nothing, people only seeing their own party of 5 among 30+ friendlies.

Maybe Anet just wanted people to give ESO a try, I dont know.

And that’s ignoring the new “features” for the camera which wreck havoc in WvW. People are literally seeing over walls and across half the maps.

The lag, omg the lag its almost unplayable again. Nice going. press 1 wait 10 seconds and you can press 1 again.

Between the skill lag and the random race/proffesion shouts, I decided to just log out and come back when we get the patch for the patch.

Completely unplayable for me on Piken Square.

I have an average ping of 70 after the patch in EB (gandara) but it’s unplayable since. Skills activate never or after 5 seconds, people can’t res, people can’t stomp … the screen just gets wobbly, i hear skill callouts from other players and overall it’s just totally broken.

Did I not pay attention and this is actually a hidden Beta?

Edit: also the skill lag does not only happen when there are zergs around, it’s happening when i’m also standing alone at spawn.

We (or at least I ) have this happening on every patch-day for months now, how are you so suprised?

We just had a big fight on gunnars hold bl. Garrison was crowded with players from AM and DL. I think in the end they just went away because noone could do anything but skill 1.

Not surprised .. but that doesn’t mean i’m willing to just sit here and do nothing about it even though it never gets fixed before the patch actually goes live.

Lags are most likely cuz server has to calculate all those stability stacks, i personally dont expect lags will be gone unless changes to it will be reversed.

Everyone who has lags, first check if only GW2 is affected. If yes, then proceed to try Pingzapper, WTFast or something similar. Lagging GW2 is mostly not caused by overload on the servers but rather because of routing through bottlenecks. Using a VPN will help resolving this kind of issue.

If you want further details – funnily enough the skill lag that occurs only ever affects yourself. In reality, your skill DOES get executed, but whatever information is being sent from the server to your client doesn’t get through. tested it with two PCs and two different accounts, characters standing next to each other. Everything the normal routed character does gets instantly displayed on the client being routed through a VPN while actions of the VPN’ed client don’t come through to the client without VPN.

Of course there are way more possible issues and symptoms of skill lag, but for me this is always the case. o i can only suggest: Use a VPN. Test it.

It was/is (don’t know how it is now as i’m not at home) a server problem not a client problem because everyone in our raid along with our enemies had horrible skill lag tho it became a bit better later

What if your whole server has it. And streamers on twitch like chemso also quit because of the terrible skill lag.

Yeah its not just EU. Lot of people are feeling it. I dont usually suffer from lag except in the most extreme FA/SBI blobs. But skill lag wrecked me in a 5v6 or something like that last night. It was pretty consistent.

As someone said earlier it’s most likely the extra calculations needed for stability stacks much like the reason stacking condis are limited to 25
