for those unfamiliar: every time someone dies, all creatures of the same type (allies and foes) take xx damage and no one can rez.

This would change rangers from the worst wvw class to the best rofl.

maybe this could be buff that would be placed on the map or on a structure. and I remember i believe Edge only worked if your health was so far down, so it wouldn’t be too much of a draw back.

Troll is a valid argument against it. Maybe the rangers frozen soil spirit evolved over the years and became foe-only, so that you cant troll your own team any more. Also, rezzing by walking and pressing F should still work. Frozen soil Just an anti rezz skills skill.

Frozen soil: Nature Ritual. Creates a level 1…8…10 spirit. (30…78…90 second lifespan). Creatures in range cannot activate resurrection skills. Does not affect spirits.

This spirit prevents creatures in its range from using resurrection skills, not resurrection itself.
A creature outside the range of the spirit can resurrect a character inside its range, while a character inside its range cannot resurrect a character outside its range.

Edge if Extinction: Nature Ritual. Creates a level 1…8…10 spirit (30…126…150 second lifespan). Deals 14…43…50 damage to creatures in its range whenever a creature of the same type dies. Does not affect spirits. No damage to creatures above 90% Health.

From the wiki, and personal experience, you’re wrong. It is a thing.

Just read your sig. It’s a mystery to me that someone who hosts a mesmer podcast and has a guide to solo queue doesn’t understand how banner works. Poison countering bannering has been a staple of GvG strategy for aeons.
