Let’s not risk being the underdogs a second week in a row. Until we’re 100% sure that Maguuma won’t be abusing timezones to nightcap us, I propose that our servers work together to keep their presence on the maps to a minimum. This can only work if the major guild leaders get in on this and if you spread the word of this to /map and /team in the WvWvW maps, so please, do!

PS: There is no reliable way to make sure the entire servers respect the alliance, so, I mean, some sillies and baddies are going to run around breaking the terms all the time. It might be best to ignore those little conflicts and let the baddies fight each other while the good people focus on Maguuma- together. Let’s make sure we don’t end up with another unplayable week, huh?

Maguuma obviously teamed up with TC last week and now they want to team up with Ehmry Bay this week. This is terrible! We should all band up together and fight these dumb goons.

I’m from TC, and I don’t know about the rest of the server, but I kinda dislike Maguuma without a real reason. I went after every single one i saw, even if it was a bad idea ;D

Apparently Ehmry Bay has an orb hacker among their midsts. Mag had the one in ehmry bay borderlands and it mysteriously reappeared at the top alter. HMMM

Sorry but your wrong.. Most people on TC whom I spoke to have an extream dislike of Maguuma, and the Goon Squad.

There was no team up.

If the Goon Squad have any connection to EVE’s Goonfleet, then they’re not out to make friends.

As for your invitation, Jamaz, I’m looking forward to fighting against Emhry Bay’s Oceanic players, and if your side will be offering easy points by not offering a defence, then I will aim to take those points.

Very impressive fight put up by Emhry Bay in the Yak’s Bend Borderlands at the kickoff, btw. You’ve earned your early lead.

How has Emhry Bay kept their orb for so long without it glitching? Maguumas orb got glitched so bad they tried to run the orb and it got stolen by us at Yaks bend lol! Thanks for the sploits EB!

Fun fact: the orb pedestals were both “mysteriously” destroyed in our keep and in the garrison where we had the orb located. We decided to just give the orb to Yak’s at Dreaming Bay rather than having it reset to EB and reward their glitching. A small team of us from Goon Squad ran the orb across the lake and our carrier literally passed it to one of the first YB players he saw. Enjoy they free orb, erstwhile Yaks.

You know lightning can destroy orbs. Randomly. It’s something Anet should fix.

Looks like it will be a fun week. EB seems to go to bed early and get up late. But they are feisty when awake! We yaks can still find many ways to wipe with either of you.

EB stopped caring this week already when YB teleported an orb and our borderlands garrison has been bugged for 12hrs . This weeks already a wash.. ohh and hundreds of people are transfering off eb becuase of it.

Yea, it really sucks that this happened. I was hoping that we’d get a really good matchup. I thought Ehmry was a good match, but I guess it was just that TC was holding us back.

Yak’s Bend is super fun to fight, though. I like them. WAIT, no, I hate them … because this is war! lol

As far as I know, our orb wasn’t hacked, but the Altar was destroyed or something like that.

Now, Ehmry Bay is falling behind because Yak’s Bend and Maguuma are being unfair. Both servers have a pretty solid lead over Ebay.

Tarnished Coast and Maguuma seemed to enjoy fighting each other.
Yak’s Bend and Maguuma also seem to enjoy fighting each other.
Ehmry Bay doesn’t seem to enjoy fighting anyone.

I’m not saying that all Ehmry players are like this, I’m just going by what I’ve seen on the forums. And to those people, my response? Sometimes, when it seems like everyone else wrong, you are the one who’s wrong.

That’s a pretty good reason why we’re losing right now. We’re not losing because of alliances. We’re losing because a few bad apples decided it’d be funny to cheat and exploit.

As for the second part, that sucks, and I had no idea that that happened (I’ve been away from WvW for a while since the matchup). If that’s the case, there should be a match reset … but like I said, it’s no excuse for what happened last week.

Maguuma and TC never attacked each other inside of Eternal Battlegrounds. Maguuma was constantly on Pang and Ogre, and TC was constantly on Speld and Anz. They never attacked one another down south. Borderlands was fine. This is what most of us with sense were complaining about. The team that spawns up north in EB is at a major disadvantage. It’s poor game design, not an alliance.

YB flews away with orb apology appreciated but doesn’t change the fact some scrub did it though it does show class

Mag exploits garrison effectively giving themselves a free keep for… well still counting.

Mag cheaply uses cliffs from garrison to blast Bays walls away over and over without being able to be attacked.

Mag takes their exploits to supply camp exploiting invulnerable area to lay siege.

Stay tuned for more exploits and cheap tricks to be added to the list as I’m sure Mag will find more to resort to before long. Waiting for a flying flame ram to one shot me from behind. “ok ill admit that would be cool… the first time”

I totally understand what you’re saying about the map. It’s just that, if you look on the forums (also, I have friends from Ebay who told me about the complaining in team/map chat), people really do think that there was an alliance, and they used that as an excuse. ._.

They really seem bent on winning WvW at any cost, including their server’s reputation. I’m glad that while EB may be seen as “whiny,” I’ve yet to see a single exploit or unfair advantage pressed by EB.

I’ll take whiny over exploiting and hacking to win WvW.

To be completely honest, the more I read this stuff, the more I feel like I should switch servers. If all this turns out to be true, I’ll probably switch today. It’s a good mid-ranked server, but I don’t want to play like that. :I

Our server isn’t naturally bad at WvW, but when we have things like this orb hacking and other exploits against us, it’s hard or straight up impossible to prove that.

Uh having been in the voip of Maguuma EB borderlands yesterday night when it happened…I can say you are all calling wolf over nothing. We have done nothing on purpose to bug the keep as far as I know. We had lost the keep fairly and it was called on voip to regroup at eastern keep. When people found out the keep bugged it was met with surprise. Whatever though people just like to blame, kitten and whine.

Also LOLS at not using the trebs on garrison from spawn EB. That very same keep that ended up bugged was getting pummeled from THREE trebs on spawn cliffs before we were run out.

This thread is ridiculous. The Goons and the rest of Magumma have been coordinating a lot better this weekend because we’re on voice comms together. There are no server alliances. There is no hacking/exploiting. Anytime it looks like an enemy has done it, you hear, “Just report it guys. There’s some way to break X. I don’t know how they do it. If you know how, I don’t want to know. Report it and hopefully people who do it will get banned.”

People will always just find some reason to justify why they are losing. It’s just a game. Get over it and just have fun out there.

There is no exploiting. Screenshots are clearly doctored. You don’t have several trebs and arrow carts assaulting a supply camp from your spawn. Mags is a trash server who needs to cheat to get ahead. This was a troll thread, not an actual alliance thread and everyone knows it.

Edited out the other bit, I haven’t been in WvW since Mag and Yak did their hacking business, so I’ll take your word for it that we set up trebs at our spawn.

There are multiple levels to the borderlands.

they need to add a server profile option to these forums, I have no idea who’s trolling and who’s serious since I can’t even tell who’s on what server

Unfortunately some lesser-people’s fun are built on top of other’s grief. Camping spawn point might be “strategic”; using certain mods to bypass terrain might be “cleaver”…. But when some setup multiple ballistas and arrow carts behind jumping puzzle waterfall, camping players jumping in, then do a /point and /laugh — that has to be a new low.

It just happens Magumma had a couple of rotten apples, and that stench made by those bunch is giving the entire server a bad smell.

There are large areas outside the spawn you can place siege without it being able to get to by the enemy. This is not new. This is not exploiting. This is done by all servers I have ever been matched up against. On this issue, anybody complaining about this is showing they’re complete lack of experience in WvW.

Orb hacking is a legit hack and needs to get dealt with by Anet quickly.

A bugged out keep lord may or may not have happened purely unintentionally. Half this game is glitches out already. Unless it happens on multiple keeps, the odds are it just kind of happened.

Yeah. I’m not really one to interject much in threads that don’t involve my server but the implicit notion of what is or isn’t unfair is a bit strange to me. Maguuma are goons but at least they fight and don’t really complain about fighting.

Emhry’s only got a real point about whatever happened with their orb and that exploit (which I admit I am ignorant to the details of and therefore, totally am on their side, as I think most people are, on the matter.)

But I do sort of agree with the quoted poster about the tone of some of the more vocal Ehmry players in the last two weeks. It’s been…interesting, to put it diplomatically.
