In case these pics don’t explain it….a mesmer dies by the bay watergate and then is revived through the gate..therefore able to mesmer portal a zerg inside. Please fix this. I have another picture of the mesmer’s health since the one attached has part of his health bar covered by the water gate. In both pics, he is at around 30% revived.

That is not the exploit to get into Bay.

That has been a part of holding bay since the beginning of WvW. I don’t know why people think this is a new thing. First thing you should do is check the grates if you wipe an attack inside Bay. If there are people there, pull them if they are alive and if they are dead, get a mesmer and have them use skill #5 to slowly drag them away from the gate.

Regardless of it being in the game since the beginning, reviving through the wall is definitely an exploit, even if they never fixed it. The Bay was swept hence why they are dead. You cannot control pugs, if they kill the Mesmer near the gate, you can’t do anything about it. Easy fix, make the gate thicker or add a second gate in front of it so a body cannot be within reviving range.

Tip. If a mesmer is not releasing inside a keep that means the keep is not swept. There is either a thief or another mesmer still inside. You need to park a poor soul there and watch the body until they release.

And like I said. There is a way to move a dead body. Park a mesmer there and use their vortex skill to draw them back from the gate. It works.

They can’t get into bay the normal way so they use methods like those to get inside.

It is NOT an exploit, it is however VERY cheap. Why is it not an exploit? Because you aren’t breaking LOS to rez. You can attack mesmers hiding there from both sides of that grate, so there is no exploit, no LOS issues, etc. It’s not the same as rezzing through a gate (which is an LOS exploit).

Since it’s not an exploit, nothing will be done. Just sit there and camp. If you see a mesmer going there to die, pull them away constantly. They basically need to be right up against it for it to work. It’s a very lame tactic to do, but people still do it..just park someone there. In fact, what works best is to place someone ABOVE on the watergate of bay, and when they see someone coming to rez, kill that person. That works MOST of the time.

Lol wait until some players on Ebay do the actual exploit, then you will be even madder, assuming the players in question weren’t banned during the last SBI EB NSP match.

It all boils down to whether anet specifically designed this grate so that you could resurrect people thorough it. If the grate was merely made like that for a asthetical design purpose and not as a supporting platform for this type of unrestricted-LoS rezing we see then it is clearly being use in a manner up intended by aNet.

And if it’s being used in a way that was not intended and gives an unfair advantage to those who use it (bypassing walls) it is the exact definition of an exploit.

Anyone who says otherwise is delusional.

EBay used the ‘real’ exploit about a dozen times in last week’s match to get Bay… just wait…

The fix is simple, they just put another grate on the inside stopping people from being able enter the tunnel at all.

Maybe not an exploit but def. a big, reviving through a wall(port/door) should not be possible.

People seem to be confused. If something is a bug (something not behaving as the developers intended) and you use that to gain an advantage players who don’t, you are exploiting.
