English speaking server (EU)?
Desolation is almost entierly English speaking. It’s also the only server I’ve played on so it is the only one I’m certain of, but Blacktide has a large Russian presence, but they make an effort to communicate in English in map chat and you shouldn’t have an issue if you play during UK prime time. Gunnars Hold is also mostly English speaking afaik, after that I’m not sure about the rest of the servers.

Desolation is the unofficial commonwealth server so lots of English folks here. There’s the odd foreign speaking guilds but they tend to keep to themselves and speak English in map chats.
Blacktide was to quiet for me, desolation has been “Full” since iv been looking so im guessing its the main server to be on right now
I’ve never tried transferring myself, so I don’t know how true this is, but apparently if you try transferring during non prime-time, say 9 a.m. then it dips down to high instead. I think the population level is somehow linked to the number of active players and not just the total number with their accounts on that server.
I think
Desolation
Gandara
Gunners hold
Aurora glade
Those 4 have english as a dominant language by far I believe. Deso of course being the most dominant with english, but good luck getting on there. Full server.
Hey there,
The only time I’ve seen people talk something else but english was during the BWEs and directly after launch… now I don’t see anyone anymore Haven’t even read one french word in the chat! Oh and I’m on Aurora Glade.
Had a look at the EU server list and as it stands right now all of the servers are either high or a small number of medium. So long as you aren’t trying on the weekend, I’d guess you would be able to transfer wherever you want.
ruins of surmia , we speak english.
No Queue.
Ruins of Surmia
Underworld is all English-speaking, and WvW queues are minimal to non-existent. And some new WvW players coming in would be greatly appreciated!
Aurora Glade is mostly english. There is occasional messages in other languages, but very few. Fairly high population on the server, though it has shrinked a bit recently.
I’m an american on blacktide and most of the communication there is in english.
An american abroad.
Seafarer’s rest. ’Nuff said!
I think all the EU English servers speak English no matter what nationality they have on them.
Far Shiverpeaks is seen as a Russian/Scandinavian server but chat is always in English. There might be a few guild recruitment in other languages but even then it’s only seen in chat once every 10 min or so.
I dont know if this will help bu its my experience.
Project Blacktide 24/7 http://tinyurl.com/a3unn9b
Far Shiverpeaks. Rarely see anything but english, except for the few germans and dutch people in map chat. Never had an issue communicating in english on the server with anyone.
Lots of scandinavians and dutch people, but we gladly speak english. Honestly I prefer english over swedish. I hate swedefying english MMO terms. :P
Sea F Rest is English. Got some Aussies and Usa to. Hop over!!
