Is entering the enemy citadel legal? If not, what category do we use to report violators?

Just had about 10 YAKS do this on SBI BL. It’s bad enough we are outmanned, do you have to rub it in by running around our spawn and picking off people?

They can’t pick off people as you are invulnerable inside your spawn… All they can do is kill a few NPCs and get killed by either invulnerable players or Legendary Defenders.

Good point, still kind of annoying though.

Why aren’t the NPCs invincible anyways?

They can kill golems too…

how is it annoying?

- they cant harm you or other players in any way
- they most likely just search for some extra fun
- they dont get extra loot/points… actually less of those 2 things while being in your spawn

you could have a fun time with them instead of seeing it as an offensive action –
im 100% sure that these players just think its fun and not that they want to harm anyone of you …^^

the worst thing they could do is kill a few npcs that arent invulnerable but
1) these npcs respawn pretty fast
2) if they just stay in the legendary defenders range for 1 second and dont dodge or are invulnerable they die by 1 hit of them

They CAN make the Citadel waypoint contested though. If that’s the only waypoint available on that server’s map, that could constitute as severe harassment/griefing as it badly restricts the server’s ability to respond to assaults or even to respawn after a death.

In this case it was the only waypoint, oh well

Are you sure that it’s possible for them to block the citadel waypoint? as far as I know, waypoints are only ever blocked because of their interaction with certain events, both in PvE and WvW, and there are no events tied to the citadel waypoint.

Have you actually seen a case where players have managed to contest the citadel waypoint? if so I’d urge you to screenshot and report, as that sounds like a very serious issue that Anet would want to know about.

Not personally, no. This claim comes to me via a friend who was on another server. (I’m on TC.) I’ll ask him to grab a screenshot if/when he sees it happen again. In my experience he’s quite trustworthy, although it’s possible he was mistaken.

This is exactly the attitude that most griefers have. Maybe they aren’t causing problems intentionally, but they exploiting the game, and if it’s in a group, one or more of them usually end up actually harassing people, even if that wasn’t their goal to begin with. Just stay out of other server’s spawn points.

This is nothing but griefers using cheats and glitches for their own personal amusement. Don’t get caught up in their tries to make this look like their doing nothing or harm noone and that it is just fun.

Let me give you a few pointers. Well i actually have no clue about the wp being contested or not, but if this is the case, then yes there will be griefers abusing that. Now also add the glitch in to Garrison from the Laurel seller, will we still think it is fun when they abuse this too?

And as answer to your Yeah but we are only killing npc. Will we still think it is funny when they constantly killing our siege sellers, armou-repairs, TP-npc and the like?

Or when the 10 omega golems we had to move to the citadel due to loosing a keep they were stored in, is t still fun?

If there is something that griefers can abuse then be sure they will try to pull it further and further. This is what griefer do. Don’t give them credit or laugh it away because it is not fun, nor is it in any way admirable what they do and they for sure is breaking the rules.

If anyone catch them on a video or a screenshot make sure to report it with a mail to exploits@arena.net

Yea it can be rather annoying to see them there. We have been called out many times as a small group and get blitzed as soon as we leave the citadel by a larger group. Only way they know which way we are leaving, is because the person inside Citadel is telling them which gate we are leaving out of.

Calm down dude, they were messing around having fun, not trying to grief people,
Can’t say the same for the spy’s and alt accounts destroying our golems in spawn…. Plus the kome map que spawn camping us… But no, you need to cry about 10 ppl running around citadel >.<

I thought i could not make it more clear then i did. Anyone who is abusing this glitch/cheat IS a griefer. With other words it includes your friends and the person you self described destroying a golem and anyone else abusing it.
I don’t find any of those situation the slightest funny and i hope the people with videos and screenshots of it will mail them to exploits@arena.net

When did they fix that? The previous time I caught an enemy in our citadel, I saw him take out the TP guy. The NPC did not reset and we had not TP on our BL until the next match.
