EoM - single player kills Champion Ogre- how?
Everything in this game is soloable with enough time. Tbh it sounds like you got pummeled by someone who put a lot of time in to their skill.
Certain bits sound like it could have been hacking but without more information I’d say it was a very skilled player.

Thank you for the replies and for the build info – now I’ve got something to look into and try out.
Being pummelled – 5 minutes hard work for me – that slowed her down for perhaps 15 seconds in total – but good fun and something to learn from.
Almost solo’d the OG champ once. Never tried Ogre, now tempted to try it.
And do not forget: The EotM bosses scale to number of players, it’s much easier to kill them with a few good player, than with a blob of up-scaled.

Solo the workshop charr. That’s a tough one…

Yeah his minions are ugly.
I used to roam a fair bit in EOTM just to see what I was capable of doing. Since NPC’s are a lot stronger there, it was fun to see how quickly I could get away with sniping things before a zerg rolled through. The constant threat of being blobbed made for a good adrenaline rush.
Anyway after various attempts at every available location on said map I can say the following;
Airship, Workshop, Overgrown Fane, Belltower and Tytone Perch are the hardest to capture solo.
Airship is much easier if you have a lot of mobility and stability but I did all of these things as a melee trapper Ranger so I had only evades to rely on. That guy hits like a truck, has a nasty AOE, shadowsteps when you spend too much time at range and throws you across the airship if you don’t have stability or evades handy. It’s definitely doable but for the build I was using it was much harder.
Workshop champ has a lot of armor and takes a lot of reduced damage. Fortunately I was using a condition build so it didn’t matter too much. But his pulls and minions are a pain in the butt. I actually never managed to solo that place successfully just because I couldn’t get rid of all of his minions quickly enough.
The elementals in Fane are immune to CC both hard and soft which made that almost impossible for me. I rely very heavily on soft CC to keep NPC’s (and players in most cases) away from me. Since they’re immune to it I had to rely on my evades again. Couple that with being turned in to a bunny every 30 seconds and and taking huge chunks of health when the elementals got close enough to hit me you can imagine it’s not an easy fight.
Belltower was the worst for me. That guy hits REALLY hard, dazes you constantly, bleeds you, his minion buddy freezes you and he gets retaliation every now and again. I also never managed to solo Belltower just because this bugger would daze me at the worst possible times. I’m sure it’d be much easier if I had access to stability more often but for this guy, I never succeeded.
Tytone was hard because the champ there is only vulnerable while he’s swooping. At which point you need to CC him. I could never manage I guess due to my own inability to time it properly and I could only ever hit him like once every minute or so. He would probably have been relatively easy if I were more capable of pinning him down but I just gave up because I simply couldn’t hit him half the time. Damage wise he wasn’t that threatening. I just had to kite him and avoid his knockbacks and AOE’s.
Everything else in EOTM was relatively easy to do. I’ve solo capped every thing there besides the aforementioned at least once. With the right build and the right amount of skill any one can do it. Condition builds make it much easier just because you can kite them safely applying pressure from range but you can still do it with power builds if you don’t get greedy. I solo’d a few things with a Thief as well and some of them were even easier with a D/P Thief just because I could force them to stand in blind fields and they’d miss 80% of their attacks.
tldr; Anything in this game is possible to solo as far as I’m concerned. Just takes practice and patience. In WvW the only thing that makes it hard is that you have a limited amount of time to do it before you get caught. So practicing how to deal with champs in WvW will usually take a lot of deaths by being blobbed before you succeed.

Belltower spawn minions? Or you mean the Shrine?

Bell tower has a vet there too. Normally not a problem as it’s dead within seconds.
