Hi,

I haven’t done much WvW in my three years of GW2 but if I do it’s EotM. It’s the only “Train” I get myself to following for more than 40min without being bored, the loot is good and it’s one of the best places to farm karma, imho.

However, my home server, Abaddon’s Mouth, is not at a good spot when it comes to WvW, we usually place 2nd or 3rd and so I end up being mopped whenever I try to do some runs in EotM.

I have come to a point, where cashing in some gems to transfer to a server that has higher EotM population has become an alternative, instead of waiting for that one week every two months where EotM would be worth playing. I just don’t know what server to join.

So the question is: Is there a EU server, well known to have a high population in EotM? I’ve learnt that SFR alone can make the difference which color has the biggest zerg in EotM, is that true? Are there other servers worth considering and why?

“Real” WvW is not my cup of tea, tried it many times and I still think the maps and gameplay are too boring for how unrewarding the gamemode is.

Wvw isn’t for everyone and it’s good you get some enjoyment out of EoTM.

That said, you don’t need to go to the top server to play it. It works like a pve mega server, in that all the green teams are on the same side, as is all red, and all blue.

So look at the MOS, find a server that’s reasonably green most of the time, and transfer there. Keep in mind that EU is more volatile than NA, so there is a chance that green servers will switch to blue placement, etc., from week to week.

in my experience being on the green side is actually the least fun in EotM. Which color your team is less important than the map you end up on. The regular EotM comms tend to join at reset so if possible hit the map when a match is just starting. Also add anyone you find enjoyable to play with or follow in EotM to your friends list to help improve your map placement chances.

I don’t know how many shards of EotM EU gets going during your prime time but in NA it can be tricky to hit the “fun” maps but then again, that all depends on what your definition of fun is. I like the ones where huge three way battles break out all over the place but those are kind of rare.
