The toy axe weapon it comes with seems to give some huge ooc mobility abilities, Ive seen characters zipping around with it. Is this fair to have on a gemstore item that’s meant to be cosmetic?

Yeah, costume toys work in wvw. After doing some more investigating and seeing more people use it, the issue is the #2 skill on the axe, a 600 range leap on 3s cooldown

So Anet, are you going to do something about this accidental Pay to Win?

Part of the problem is also that the distance traveled gets increased by IMS buffs. If you have decent access to swiftness or other buffs (50% increase in movement speed while in stealth) the distance traveled is even more ridiculous.

All the custom brawls skills shouldn’t be use in WvW! Please disable this thx

cuz its so hard to hit them? even mobility warriors can be hit, and ele’s with a fiery GS. you can’t use town clothes in combat

seems broken to be able to dash constantly to get somewhere

its not 600 range

more like 1200 at least

you just need to press and hold the skill then you rush at least 1200 ranger

The item’s flexibility isn’t limited to just getting out of combat to escaping chasers. What if you see people chasing you before combat comes into play and you need an extra edge to get away? What if you see a fight and want to get into the fray faster to help teammates? What if you need to rush to a zerg or to defend a keep?

The game is balanced with mobility of classes in mind (some are designed to be slow, like guardians/necros), and this gem-store-only item breaks that.

This is pretty funny. I’m sure Anet will fix it soon. You should thank all the exploiters for funding Anet.

You can’t. In fact if you are struck you instantly revert to armour.
That’s the beauty of it. Change to town clothes, zip across the field from Garrison using the axe and when you leap at your enemy at Greenvale all your skills will instantly come online.

Hmm, still nothing happened regarding this. Has anybody read some statement by Anet about (ab)using this in WvW? Would like to know whether I have to spend gems on this or not.

They’ll probably address it after abusing the ambiguity to get more gem store sales.. Really, what should happen is costumes should be disabled outside of the spawn zones and anyone that bought the set should get a gem refund if they want it.

I hope they don’t disable costumes in wvw. I like throwing roses on the bodies of my fallen victims then laying on top of them on a bed of roses.

They’ll fix it after the wvw season… Because they need every edge they can get on their servers.( because the way they nerf and buff they obviously don’t know how to play their own game.)

Tbh I don’t think this is a big deal at all. It has next to zero effect on actual wvw.

I like to spread the love. I give flowers to teammates too so they can toss roses at defeated foes. I want a finisher that sprouts a giant red rose, the bulb opens up and drips blood.

Giving professions access to an out of combat movement speed on that low of a CD that have no access to those speed buffs… or not having to put their current speed buffs on CD so they have everything up when running into a fight… yea thats not a big deal at all…

neither is the bloody princes staff giving people stealth out of combat…

The way they could fix the costumes… give them a penalty if theyre used… If you use them, all of your skills and abilities are on a 5 min CD once exiting the costume.

You need not be in a costume in WvWvW.

I don’t mind if they’d strip town clothes in WvW, I just hope we can still use it in PvE

This will only get fixed if Anet places the welfare of the game above the gemstore. Do you think it will be fixed?
