WvW was lackluster and broken in a lot of ways. I’ve been waiting for them to fix it for 3 years. Now they’ve finally fixed it and the people who got used to the old way are upset that they are no longer super knowledgeable about it. It happens in every major change to every game.

I couldn’t be happier with the changes so far. They are what convinced me to buy the expansion in the first place.

I kind of feel the same way. I had a negative opinion at first. Then last night we had multiple maps queued, and the opposing servers seemed to as well. After playing for several hours and learning my way around, I really came to like the new maps. The choke points are great.

The only issue I found, was that it felt like the day before, when keeps were T3, the health of the walls and doors was sternly over tuned. Personally, I think that could use some tweaking. Otherwise, had some really good large and small scale fights last night.

This map is awesome.

To those that hate the change and complain, how about you give it a month before screaming that the sky is falling.

i would bet most QQ becouse it is harder to karma train empty bl’s, and mostly are in panic.
Btw those harder mobs at gates were also a plus , pitty ive seen the new specs farming them easy and w/o loosing much hp, some players that dont have hot struggle a bit (depending on class offcourse).

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

Try to get few DH and ranger shooting from above while group is down the cliff :P, perfect trap.

Anet currently has 24 version of the map running at the same time, it’s 3 times more than required.

Look at ESO, it may have it’s own problems, but at the end of each matchup population numbers are calculated and the appropriate number of maps (“campaign”) is generated for the next matchup.
Most of the maps go from full to half-population, but none of the maps are empty.

The current Guild Wars 2 WvW server system doesn’t take into consideration populations when the matchups are generated; it has always been a recipe for disaster.
