I’ve been seeing more and more whenever the home team loses the NE tower they setup trebs on the cliff right outside the citadel walls and it is impossible to get up to that cliff. Even when getting close enough to AOE or shoot range they are invulnerable. Is this working as intended?
I know that siege from the tower will hit that cliff but I do not know if it actually damages the home team’s equipment.
If this is really how you described it, then i will say no – this is definitely not working as intended.
homelands have a huge advantage on the map. being able to siege in citadel to get the “home” tower is on of them. i think it works as intended.
but of course you might argue that those trebs cant be attack from any side and its some kind of missbalance. :x
sieges are never invulnerable although the people manning it from on top of the cliffs are. the only way to take it out is to build a treb at the NE tower quickly and destroy their treb before their treb destroys yours. I’m hoping they will fix this as it pretty much ruins any reason to defend the NE tower.
just curious if this is legit or not. and I agree, pointless to even defend the NE tower.
Sneak into their spawn and kill their siege. I grantee you they will be surprised and hilarity will ensue.

3 guys, each with 10 supply can put down a Balista, and build it in ~10-15 seconds. If placed on the bluff at Cragtop/Clifftop tower (up by the tower lord) that balista has 3000 range and can take out any and all trebs with very little time/change for them to retaliate.
Thus, the trebs at the “citadel” are only useful if they already hold the tower.
It might seems like it’s broken or an exploit, but contrast this with the situation on the west side of the map. Sunnyhill (or whatever it’s called) is impossible to properly siege as there is no way to place down a treb in relative safety. Siege deployment is blocked all along that side, so you have to put it on the ground where the enemy zerg can just walk up and melt it. Much like with all spawn points, siege deployment blocked only serves to keep you locked in once they push you back to spawn.
Just like the invisible exploits. I assume the official answer will be its another tactic that players can use in their gaming experience.

You can hit trebs @ Sunny with ballistas on the ground below the cliff side.
Not if they are placed at the lord. Another little trick.
when you take that tower built a ballista.
If anyone spots them setting up siege shoot it down.
I admit the spot is kind of obnoxious, but you should really be prepared to defend your new land holdings rather than zerg onwards.
simple, get a bunch of elementalists to kill it.
they can hit it from anywhere as long as they have it on target.

I am aware of a way to get into the citadel, but i prefer to keep my team exploit free even if the enemy is using exploits. We still own the rest of the map, one little tower will keep them coming back for more instead of wallowing in their own sorrow.
