Just curious what people think of this and why.

- Which server do you think is better situated for T2?
- Which server would win in a head on match up?

FA beat us pretty badly the last time we faced them. They also got a number of ioj transfers which would give them better around the clock coverage. Also, Maguuma will hopefully lose quite a few of our current transfers next weekend.

Imagine how terrible that portal bomb would be.

If Mag doesn’t have many Oceanics as they say they don’t, this won’t be much of a match score-wise. I am still excited to fight Old Mag and see their crazy tactics.

I am not aware of having much of an Oceanic presence. Someone claimed that we did on Reddit, but I don’t really believe it, unless some massive guild transferred here without saying anything.

I’m very much enjoying our community additions so it doesn’t even matter who is the victor as long as there are plenty of good fights to be had. From past experiences, Mag will bring all they have so no matter what, it will be a blast.

Just saying that during NA prime FA seems to have 3.5-4 maps queued. They also appear to have a stronger European presence than on DB. At least 1.5 maps.

I like both these servers. I’ll be watching these guys closely, I can’t say one way or the other who I think will win. They each have primes which slightly offset. What I do expect is both servers will be putting in some extra hours and given the week mag’s has at hand… it should be close, I think.

Both of your servers are very qualified, and full of strong members I respect. It will be a good battle to watch.

Probably FA, although I wouldn’t mind it being kain in the end since maguuma was a good fight in the lower tiers before FA moved up.

FA has had ques before when we are winning and the fairweathers come out of the fractals

I was just thinking of proposing a server-wide Fractal event for FA this Friday at 7 pm EST.

they’re probably overrated at this point. its a server like DR and BP when they were crushing through the lower tiers, but with 1 exceptional guild (WM). they’ll definately get further, but probably not past T3 in the long run.

Maguuma this week has the population to beat both CD and DB.

As a new transfer and commander on FA, I prefer a good fight regardless of outcome. There are lots of good fights right now. FA doesn’t win all of them, but man working with these guys is fun. As far as fun goes I’d say we’re Tier 0.

Weeks away and already plotting a tag team ;-) … well, always gotta try something once, right? Will be keeping an eye on you two boys, play nicely. And yes, we (Kaineng) still have much to learn. But time to gel. We have many great guilds and players working and training together nightly from t1 to t8 servers. You’ll even see us in PvE practicing sprints and skill timing. That’s just part of the fun though, learning, developing new strats, practicing with those you don’t know. It’s really nice to have so many people working together, and knowing that some day that first loss will come. Maybe next week, maybe the week after, but that just fires us to train harder.

But we get hungry for battle again during these lull’s.

We may be over rated, we may be underrated, but one thing I can tell you, is t5 is not our tier. Not even remotely close. Many eyes were watching us at reset to see if we were for real. Every tier the server below tells us how we will not make it up. But I think you guys get it and have been through it. The continual ‘when will we will hit the wall’. My assumption will be in t3. But I would expect (given current millennium), that next week should give us some much needed live action for all night, and we will have our hands full of revenge for Dragonbrand. If it is as stands, there’s so many people who are itching to battle them. You guys were fun to play against, under the outmanned situation on darkhaven. Some of the keep fights were hours long, and you guys toss siege like it’s going outta style, even if we destroyed it, you’d toss another right in the same spot. It was a slow death those nights. But nonetheless, enjoyable battles.

Until then, we’ll be watching you 3 specifically, as much as you are watching us, if you tag team and crush us, we’ll just have to deal with it and take what lessons learned to be discussed and implemented into our training. Won’t stop us from entering the hunt and punching you back in the kisser, at least a few times … it’s evidently easy for servers like FA and Mag’s, CD, and DB to tag team a server down. Whether you want to play that way to prove some point or not is your own server’s populous’ prerogative. I’ll tell you flat out we’re not going to play that game. We just want good hard battles in wvw, much like yourselves, and know we can expect it here. Reading in some of your threads, I thought Mag’s and FA play much the same … and look for battle. Maybe that’s just a one off comment. Good luck in your coming battles.

I am in FA, but I run one of the IoJ guilds that transferred to FA.

Maguma, please do us the favor.

If we meet each other next week. Give us a good fight. The IoJ spirit has always win that if we win, we earn our wins and the expectation is to have a good WvW experience.

When you get there, and if we at FA win. I personality do not want the two servers to disrespect themselves. Win or Lose, I want each server to be able to walk around in the end knowing it was worth it.

Because given the state of WvW currently, having a good match up is not easy anymore. Tier 2, 4 and 5 currently are having unfair matchups. Tier 3 is decent and now Tier 1 is ok, except for BlackGate slipping since JQ got RedGuard.

In other words, we want everything you can throw at us and more because we are dying to find out if we can counter it, because we just don’t know until we try and we rather not spend all day playing with “What ifs” floating around our minds.

Precisely. We will hold hands and skip to the EBG puzzle together after a short visit to the Overgrown Grub, too. Then we will trade 1st and 2nd for weeks on end. Eventually we will merge together and build a Death Star. It shall be named Isle of Aspiegoons.
