Same match-up as in Tier 7

Welcome back Underworld!
GL to all servers and hope the lootbags are plenty for everyone.

It’s a rough start for us so far, didn’t have the amount of people we had last reset.
UW certainly have a lot more people in WvW than they used to, but we’ll have to see if you can keep up this pace for a full week
FR also seem to have some reinforcements i haven’t seen last week.

So it will be interesting to see where this is going

After some nice scrimms on both FS and FR Bls I was disappointed with the turn out this reset. We had literally no-one from one server come to our BL, I really enjoy the tense defence of reset night, with only your wits and movement/terrain to survive the onslaught of 3 full zergs with numerous objectives on the go, really challenges you as a commander.
So tonight, being sat at legendary defenders wasn’t that fun. Where are you FS? Last week you said you were waiting for us

I have never heared of this guys guild, anyways looking at the top part and seeing, im pretty sure Uw was/is not winning because a single person was doing something illegal, found it rather interesting you were taking a fraps while doing something very exciting like trebbing klovan(?) … but i didnt came here to flame on FS for doing false accusations, get people on the field and fight us. Last night was a rather boring trip tbh.

I was commanding on reset and the biggest resistance i faced was on FS borders from Fort Ranik

but anyways, if FS is willing to drop this trolls kitten, lets have this a nice and clean matchup thread!

UW fought FSP for weeks in T7 and should remember we seldom had large numbers for reset. That hasn’t changed. If I wake up on Saturday morning and we are winning I am shocked, as it means we had a rare turnout. Last night we had one of the worst turnouts in many weeks.

I am pretty sure you will get some decent fights and we have been looking for some good challenges, as many were getting bored in recent weeks with the fairly easy wins. FR brought some great fights last week and we have seen how well UW has been doing and are looking forward to a more challenging week. We enjoy fighting our way back after our weak resets.

this is my view:
- noone records something boring like trebbing a tower
- that guild has never been seen before on UW

conclusion: you set that up to bring a bad impression to UW, good use of 50 gold but oh well, have fun with some more flamerams in ur lords rooms

None of the “hardcore” WvW players or guilds in our community know the guild or the player in question, it’s literally the first time I see that guildtag which means hes a total random guy.. probably found a hack somewhere and felt like trolling around in WvW a bit. You can’t reflect the actions of one individual on our entire server.. as I remember about “old habbits”, I’ve seen a lot of FSP thiefs speedhack in the past and I never even moved about it on the forums because it’s never the main WvW guilds involved with cheating, it’s always random individuals.

Last matchup I’ve seen a underlvled ranger teleport inside a tower right next to me and when he was about to die speedhack away, he was a player on UW I had never seen before.. but I made literally everyone I know report him, I will do the same if I see this individual or anyone else cheating.

So please stop looking at these things with tunnel vision and enjoy this matchup, thank you.

Just to add my say to this, after watching the video not only is it a strange thing to be recording but it seems interesting that the person trebbing shows so much interest in the guardian from a distance. Sure you might want to quickly see what server they are from but he is actively watching the individual making sure there is a good view of him. Strange eh ?

Well this thread escaleted quickly.

I can understand some of the frustration my server mates have. It is pretty annoying to read about a hacker in our server, because you know, we hate them also. But what really makes it frustrating is the ones who call out whole server.

We want to play fair and we play fair. Then one or two random guys decide to hack and we all get called hackers. How do you guys really think we would respond to personal attack with nonsense?

I just want to see good fair fights with you and the flow of this thread is getting out of hand. Can we just come to the conclusion that this player cheated, you reported about him and we get over it? No need to call us all cheaters, kthx.

PS. Even if you don’t believe it, we do report cheaters if we see one. It doesn’t matter on which server it is.

PSS. Lets have fun fights. And now that I can play also you can have a lick from my candy cane hammer.

I’m surprised to see the cheating discussion still going. When you see something like that happening, try to report him, make screenshots or record it with fraps and send a support ticket to A-net if you want to make sure action is being taken against the person in question. No need to insult the entire UW WvW population here, and it’s also pointless for UW people to insult the FS server back because that just deteriorates the topic even more. It just shows you’re no better than the person who started this mess.

I’ve seen fully upgraded towers fall to people glitching in, just report and send a ticket and move on. I didn’t start flaming the entire enemy server on the forums back then, and I can’t understand why people have to ruin this topic so quickly. I was actually looking forward to this matchup.

Some people need to learn how to read sentences.

Although I Liked the way FS was trying tot retake SM late at night.

The match just started and is certainly not over. So talking about winning or loosing at this moment is a bit weird.

We know FsP don’t suck, don’t let the few who get easily provoked into such meaningless insults get to you. Also, we haven’t had much transfers in (not that I’m aware of), we’ve just grown as a WvW community and we are more organised (there’s still some work that can be done though).

I’m hoping for a great matchup this week.

Well this thread got ugly quite fast.
Don’t see where all this losing stuff already comes from, it’s only been 14 hours yet.
Maybe you are just trying to demoralize us by chest thumping about your strong reset. But after having faced all those german midtier servers we are used to catching up points on weekends, last week was just exceptional.

Actually, UW has been poor on resets and our going has always gotten better on week days, so we will see what happens.

But I hope all this trash talking ends now and we can enjoy our match up and compliment each others on stuff. Thats what I would prefer in forums thread

Every time someone bring up this ´hack´ and ´cheat´ it will change into one mud throwing thread. If you see a entire guild or a like. Sure say it, otherwise just report.

Was rather a challenge in EB last night, I can see FR and UW have both got new forces and guilds, I did acutally enjoy it. until ´Most´ of the people stop paying attention chasing after every kill they could. we also had a lot fewer people, some taking break some just believed this was going to be that easy.

It has become acceptable now with PvD and will eventually move them up another tier and good luck to them. we didnt have any transfers to Underworld. We organized ourself alot better which is the main difference – your guys performance didnt change, ours did with alot more organization, thats why we may be winning.

I think one of the reason that “chest bumping” has gone on is, believe it or not, this is actually the first reset in recent memory where UW have come out with a lead, we’re used to having to climb from third to first during the week, this reset went really really well compared to every single other one and so some of my fellow Underworlders are obviously a bit chuffed.

In any case I’ve had some good fun so far, let’s keep it up.

UW has had no guilds move here at all, the larger night presence is just us getting more organised, you fought us last when we weren’t trained and weren’t united.

Its a improved quality not quantity thing.

I was commanding on EB last night when we took the entire map, FS held very nicely but seemed to be split around the map. After Ranik gave up defending and moved to attack the FS border we took all of reds land and could put our entire force against FS.

two of the towers FS held took ages to take ha, whoever was trebbing the FS keep after we took it was a pain :P

If you have any guild tag in mind, I’d be interested to know because, AFAIK, we didn’t receive any external reinforcements since last week.

As for the reset, we had quite the hard fights, especially on FS BL. It was fun having tri-factions fights in Shadaran around 3am. It turned out we managed to seize it while UW was taking Garrison, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to push back the UW players that were waiting on the rampart, so they took it quickly. =(

Good fights, though, props to everyone.

Can’t say I like the actions of this one person referred to in this topic but I sort of believe you UW guys that you do not know him. If you care about your server find him and make sure he either gets our of this game or stops what he did. Thank you.

Concerning all your chestbumping and what not just wait and see. Sure you had a very strong reset compared to us on FS, but I like think it will be a good thing for us to get back into the climbing up saddle instead of casually just keeping a steady lead that makes the most dedicated of us bored and frustrated since there is no real challenge for us. With that I wish both UW and FR good luck for the week for we shall not just settle for the scores that are now.

Its hard to find 1 player out of 1000s that could be a hacker and could have 5 different characters.
You must understand thats near impossible to stop, if we can stop it we will try, you have hackers to deal with of your own I imagine too. If you see a hacker report him no matter the server.

The chest bumping is because UW usually doesn’t do well on reset, so months of hard work actually paid off for us, FS just ignore it and don’t get offended, if you had done so well after so many poor resets you would react the same.

I could be mistaken offcourse.
But i remember a guild named aFG or aVG or something similar hitting our border pretty hard at reset.
I just don’t remember seeing them last week, especially not a guild running with a 30ppl full boonstack zergball.

This is just a much improved communication and experience thing, to the point where even casual WvWers on our server have learnt tier 1 tactics and are sticking with commanders, whereas last time we fought, we were dotted everywhere.

Our climbing the ladders has also meant that alot more PvEers have starting WvWing. Our server has always been a PvX and PvE will forever be our main forte, but its nice to have the additional support of the casuals.

I’m enjoying the match up, I haven’t seen the vid so can’t comment. Also the youtube vid at FS keep I am slightly disappointed in, but am glad none of my guildies were there the entire video. Wasn’t even aware it was possible (and I presume its now patched)

Yes, that video is outdated lol.. it’s been patched ages ago.

I miss FS guild “BloS”, are they still up and running? I haven’t seen them around yet.
& Also Dragons in Exile [DIE].. which a lot of people thought I was spying for in the past because my guild at that time had the same tag. :P

Well that was a nice invasion of FSP in UW Border, but we managed to hold you guys from taking any keeps. You gave us some good fights and it was fun, cheers for that.

Theres certainly some communication going on for the UW guys, everytime our five man hit your side of EB this morning to take some camps and cause a distraction we got hunted down within ten minutes. We normally get a good run before the zerg lands but you guys were on us straight away, though you seemed to be holding not attacking.

Less talk more fight guys! I cant wait for the next wave of FSP on UW so I can farm some more with my lovely zerg like yesterday!

The reason you held us last night (at bay) was that we had a commander who didnt have a Scooby-doo what he was doing,i ask you! we get down the outer reinforced north gate and then proceed to build a treb in range of mortars while the rest of the Zerg destoyed the siege (WTF is that about), in the mean time you guys had closed the gate and got every one ready for the attack which came about 10mins later (i was supprised to find you awake to be honest).
We had to pull back because (wait for it) we hadnt taken you by suprise at all and you nasty people were shooting us with your arrow carts and stuff (picture the end of “300”
if you will). And just when i thought it couldnt get any worse the Commander (cough)
lead the Zerg back to supply camp Arah (without saying a word in chat) and left about 8 of us to face the music at this point Rage quit.
I apologies for using the phease " YOU SUCK" in chat, is was aimed at the Commander not everyone else.
FSP have some very good and patient Commanders who lead mainly PUG group but i am seeing to many who are not ready and are causing more harm than good, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE. (switch off tags until you are ready)

I am waiting this commander on UW

So IF i decide to hunt this commander down in the middle of zerg can i expect that noone will stop me from stomping him ? ty and your welcome in advance !

Glad to see last night was a normal night. I think we had most of the french server on our border while UW was giving us hell on EB. But i think we did allright seeing as we managed to hold 3/4 keeps intact.
FR did come close to taking garrison though, but had to retreat with the inner gate at 15%, was a nice fight

Seems like we have a pretty balanced matchup this week. Sure is more exciting than being way ahead of your competitors and doing nothing more than groundskeeping and karmatraining the rest of the week.

And to all forumwarriors, go get a room, this is a thread about our (nice) matchup, not an ego competition.

Had a large amount of fun in FR BL this afternoon. Should really do more mesmer sweeps, and use scouts or just regularly check the map.
You were so focused on spawn killing FS that we waltzed into your garri with not a peep.
Then when you took it you didn’t bother with a mesmer sweep, and didn’t have scouts at hills, so while you were assaulting garri, you lost a 2nd waypoint :/
Had some great fights around bay before finally FS wiped the floor with us due to some greedy portal-users!

Having been away all weekend I would say that the points look pretty decent, and with my knowledge of how strong FSP usually are in the week I say we’re all in for an interesting matchup!

I honestly do not care if FSP win or “lose” this matchup, I’m just glad I’ll get a chance to play against UW again because I really enjoyed that previously!

Now I didn’t get around to actually kick some kitten tonight, but that’s because I was way too tired!
